Somehow I don't see this as a good thing for our economy...

Shrink the labor force, and make them hire full time.

Temp work has been the only way I've been able to work for the past few years. The requirements for my line of work? A Master's degree and five years of experience. No benefits, no sick leave, and availability of work changes every four months. Sometimes there's no work for eight months.

The new norm is scary, especially if you have children to feed.

What does this article tell you about retirement planning for this vast army of "temp employees" or affordable health insurance for them?

Ah, isn't free market capitalism great. The rich get richer the poor get poorer. I wonder how many CEO's are temp or without health Insurance or benefits. If a temp is laid they are in for a hard time. If the CEO is gone they leave with a multi million dollar severance package.

It frightens me to see the middle class shrink at the expense of the wealthy.

And yet what do companies want to do? Bring in more visas and hire them instead of hiring Americans. The immigration bill just got passed in the senate and Hatch was right in there pushing for more Americans to get the axe...creating more part time jobs for Americans while the full time jobs go to visas. I know a young lady who just graduated with a degree in EE and she can't even find a job in it. Yet, the politicians say we don't have enough here. What they really mean is that the businesses have told them they want the cheapest labor possible, in exchange for political contributions.

What part of Mitt Romney did the American People not get?
