    What courageous and self-sacrificing these men had to be. They knew the risks yet took them anyway. Prayers and good wishes to their families. We should remember all who serve our country in harms way: police fire, military, etc. for volunteering for dangerous duty. Sorry if I left someone out. It wasn't intentional.

    A sad day for all of us as people willing to do so much for so many lose their lives. Thoughts and prayers go to the families of these brave fire fighters.

    I was once a hot shot fire fighter in Southern California. The lingering tragedy is that the benefits that are so generously given to our county firefighters, (who's risks are much less, than hotshots), are not even close to what the extremely valiant hotshot's families receive.

    My heart goes out to the families, friends and co workers of these firefighters. very concerned said it perfectly and those in the service industry who put their lives on the line are greatly appreciated.
