Free Bradley Manning.
This guy did not release carefully selected documents to further humanistic
causes. He released hundreds of thousands of military and government classified
documents, many of which did indeed aid our enemies and endangered individual
people and allies. Besides that, he broke written promises and
commitments he made when he joined the military to not do the exact kinds of
things he did do. He is obviously an untrustworthy liar and undoubtedly very
unpatriotic. He could've addressed the issues he claims he was concerned
with, without jeopardizing national and individual securities in the blatant
manner he did. There are no good or even reasonable excuses. Being a
wanna-be activist certainly isn't one. Neither is being naive, as his
defense lawyer claims. By making such a claim, his own defense people are just
seeking an excuse and admitting he was wrong in what he did. He should be
prosecuted to the full extent of the law. That would also help discourage any
other similar publicity seekers from doing such damaging acts.
The Pentagon has said there is no evidence that any documents released by
Bradley Manning have hurt anyone. They have, however, exposed a lot of lies and
secret misdeeds that should never have been classified.Free Bradley
This man should spend some time in prison. A lot of time, hopefully.
The American people can't understand why people in other countries hate the
US and try to commit acts of terror. Well, if they took some time to educate
themselves on what the US is doing in other countries, maybe they would have a
clue. Manning tried to give us that information.Tens, even
hundreds, of thousands of innocent men, women, and children have been killed in
wars that the US has created for oil and corporate interests. Unbelievably,
many people think we're trying to free people or spread democracy.Bush planned to invade Iraq long before he got the excuse of 9/11 to get the
people behind the idea.Obama promised transparency and has become
the most secretive President, squelching anyone that tries to blow the whistle.
Our own Senator Orin Hatch was key to preventing a 9/11 whistle blower from
revealing the truths that she knew.Manning is a hero as far as
I'm concerned. The people that should be tried for war crimes are Bush,
Cheney, and Obama.
