    News about a true hero is always worth hearing. Nelson Mandela's younger daughters were little more than babies when he went underground in apartheid South Africa, was captured and convicted, and, spent 27 years imprisoned on Robben Island. Their mother, Winnie, made sure the girls were educated, despite continual harassment and sometimes imprisonment by the authorities. Meanwhile, Mandela's only son, from his first marriage, was murdered while he was in prison.

    Compared to the challenges faced by heros like Mandela, the people posturing in faux scandals in our Congress are revealed as puny.
