    Totally agree. Instead we have a glamorous shopping mall.
    We need more Mother Theresas (from this, Utah culture) and less swanky malls and real estate developments.

    Would it surprise any of you to learn that there are Latter-day Saint children throughout the world who suffer from malnutrition? An estimated 70,000 active LDS children are malnourished and it is likely that 10 percent of these children will eventually die from problems related to malnutrition. If we as members of the Church are going to tout our welfare system, we should first need to figure out why we are failing to take care of our own. Fortunately, there are great organizations like the Liahona Children's Foundation which aims to eradicate this problem among Latter-day Saints. Providing nutritional supplements for these kids and their mothers is not a handout, rather it enables physical and cognitive development so they can use their bodies and minds to become self-reliant.
