Thank you for your beautiful article. It is such good advice, and such a great
perspective! Truly, thank you.
After 25 years and 3 adoptions I am still working on it. This article gave me
hope. Thank you!
I have read some of the other articles about Mother's Day in the DN, but
this is my favorite. Thank you DN for printing it. Mara you have shown such
great wisdom as we all end up with challenges in life but can be happier looking
for the good. I also sense that you have great faith and hope as is shown
especially in your last sentence. With this wisdom, faith and hope you have
also developed charity. One article on Mothers even refers to childless women
as "outsiders" though hopefully they don't mean those who yearn for
motherhood (or anyone else). You rejoice with others blessings and wish to
share their joy. I have known other great women like that, both mothers and
those not yet mothers. They have truly blest my life. Your children will
truly have a great mother.
Thanks for this! We're in the exact same boat and it's nice to hear
an infertility story that has a happy ending that's not a baby. :) BUT, I
will say that even though we don't have children of our own, we are
mother's. Mother is an eternal calling. I'm sure the kids you teach
at church or that you come in contact with would agree that you are a mother,
too. :) HUGS and hope you have a great Mother's Day!
This is an awesome post. I went through something very similar. Infertility is
painful. Yet we do have the ability to find joy in it. I help/teach women to
overcome living a life of sadness. I, too was infertile and I know the struggle.
Blessings to you.
