We need to start acknowledging and ADDRESSING the correlation between Islam and
terrorism.100% of 9-11 terrorists carried out their mureders in the
name of AllahShoe bomber attempted to bring down another plane in the name
of allahFort Hood massacre carried out in the name of AllahLondon
bus bombings in the name of AllahBoston bombings in the name of allah. When Muslims make up a relatively small percentage of our population,
yet carry out a proportionately large number of terrorist massacres, there is a
correlation there that can no longer be denied.
Chris B: Give us some specifics about what should be done!!
@Chris BWe need to start acknowledging that painting terrorism as
something only Muslims do is bigoted. The guy who sent ricin in the
mail to Wicker and Obama wasn't Muslim.Neither was the Anthrax
guy.Or the one who flew a plane into the IRS building.Nor was
Timothy McVeigh.Nor were just about every single mass shooter in America
the past 10 years.Dr. Tiller's assassin wasn't Muslim either.
@alt,You're forgetting one big difference:Why did
the 9-11 terrorists do what they did?Because allah wanted them toWhy did the shoe bomber do what he did?because allah wanted
him toWhy did the fort hood guy kill our troops?because
allah wanted him to.What we will find out about these boston
terrorists?allah wanted them to do it.The guy who sent
ricin didnt say he was acting for God. Neither did the guy who flew into the
IRS building. Neither have most of the mass shooters to my knowledge.Again, muslims make us a relatively SMALL percenage of our population.Yet WHYdo they make us a proporionately large percentage of
the terrorist activites? And why do they do it?because
"allah" "told" them to.There is a strong correlation
between terrorism in our country and Islam.
@xscribe, I'd love to.We could start allowing fewer
people into our country if they represent a more likely threat to the safety of
our people. We could provide more in depth background checks of
Muslim when they ASK to come to our country. We could have more
surveillance on those whose religious beliefs indicate a heightened security
risk to our country. If they dont like it - they dont need to come to
our country. We didnt need them to be here in the first place.
@Chris B So if we take the total number of terrorist that have attacked
the US in the name of "Allah," even with the two from Boston, we come up
with 22 total, know lets compare that with the low end of the estimates of the
number of Muslims living in the US of 5,000,000 and figure what portion the
terrorist represent in the US Muslim population. These terrorist represent .0004
percent of the Muslim community in the US and for this you want to condemn all
Muslims and think we should institute draconian measures on all Muslims in the
US and that may want to come to the US?When 9/11 happened to us here
in NY there is one thing the vast majority of us knew right away, our Muslims
neighbors were not to blame, they were as much victims of the attack as we were.
Plain and simple.
The dead member of the duo should have been deported. He had a conviction for
abuse, and police were called repeatedly to his home for domestic disturbances.
He made it clear he was militantly Islamic, he "didn't have any
American friends" and he wasn't gainfully employed so why should have
been here on a green card? Chris B. has a valid argument. We have no
idea how many were involved in the 9/11 terrorism, and we have no idea how many
influenced the actions of the two brothers of the Boston Marathon bombing. We
also have no way of tallying the number of lives so drastically impacted by
their actions. We do know that many of those injured have lost limbs and/or have
other permanent damage.I do personally know friends whose lives have
been permanently impacted by marriage with controlling followers of Islam. These
followers of Islam were not convicted of terrorism, but they ran their homes is
such a way to create terror for their spouses. I'd say more but words have
