Gun deaths per year, 11,000. Alchohol deaths per year, 80,000.It's time to ban alchohol. It's a killer. We need to ban all booze
except Mikes Lemonade. Why would you need any more alcohol than that? Plus if
anyone suffers from depression, anger management or any types of mood swings
then they are to be banned from possesing or buying alchohol. I am sure there
are those who drink responsibly but that's too bad, we need to enact our
laws based on the irresponsible, out of control, underaged drinker. People are
dying! Now back to the gun control issue. Is the Fed gov really
proposing punishment for illegal gun trafficking? How are they supposed to
punish themselves? And what do they mean about gun trafficking, is it handing
your guns down to your kids as heirlooms? Is it lending your gun on the gun
range to a shootiing partner, or do they mean secretely giving guns to Mexican
cartels? I need answers.
How about if we ban BOTH alcohol and guns?We ALL need good answers,
Grandslam. Good answers.Let's hope the bill will still include
limits on high capacity ammunition clips and will provide an effective way to
deal with background checks. We can also use some strict regulations and
enforcement that will allow us to deal effectively when guns passed down as
heirlooms and loaned to others are used in crimes. If we actively go after
those who made the guns available -- as well as those who used them -- we might
see a small improvement. The trouble is that with so many guns
already out there, gaining any measure of sensible control will be akin to
trying to stack BBs on the back of a spoon.Good answers lie
somewhere in the middle of the very wide range of extremism that exists on both
sides of this mess. Will we, as a nation, ever have the smarts and courage to
Feinstein doesn't even know which end of a gun the round comes out of!
Nothing is more dangerous than ignorance, especially from people who seek to
govern the rest of us!
Prohibition was a progressive liberal policy and plan and was whole heartedly
supported by the KKK. Who benefited? Organized Crime. Government
programs and restrictions generally end up in some level of government
Powerful gun nuts continue to oppose any and all solutions. And so nothing
changes. Every day, a new massacre.
