Sounds like market forces to me. Buy in bulk, get a discount. Same thing with
buying private health insurance. Large companies with a large workforce are able
to negotiate better deals on premiums. A small business? Well, those private
insurance companies will make you pay through the nose.
One price for all! How tough can that be?
How about we have equal justice for all.Stop giving phony, unfair,
unneeded and dishonest subsidies and free rides to business, religion,
charities, farmers, and people in uniform. The way I hear it, nothing is free.
That is unless you are able to buy special status from the government due to
your business activities. This is America. America is for people,
why should ordinary people, taxpayers, give part of their earnings to others who
do nothing to earn it.
Taxpayers money used for many other uses than providing transit when you see how
UTA operates. All the money I just read for lobbyists, and that is just for
state lobbyists. How much more money was paid for federal lobbyists, and all the
trips to Washington for UTA management and their guests. I am sure there was a
lot more taxpayer money spent for that, and probably flying first class. If UTA
upper management is constantly traveling, who is left running the place.
Obviously if they are constantly out of town and the place is running without
them, then why isn't the taxpayer money used for that used for the service
and allowing other riders a discount instead of paying the many UTA employees to
travel and lobbyists to do what UTA says they do when these managers have to
travel. Something just doesn't smell right. But then again, what else is
new. Everyone knows this about UTA, and nothing is done.

What isn't clear to me is, is the lower cost for the father-in-law due to a
lower price from UTA or a perk subsidized by the father-in-law's company.
