I applaud them too. But I note that none of our Congressional
"representatives" are included in the list.Members of
Congress who stand up to the bullying of the NRA need to be supported. Those
who don't need to be removed.
I applaud them as well, but background checks alone are not enough. We need
trafficing laws and limits on the kinds of weapons and magazines that can be put
in general circulation.
The costs to implement background checks aren't worth the (possible)
benefit.I don't really think criminals will deal with them. Background checks do nothing except penalize the law-abiding.
When this new set of laws, doesn't fix the problemthen the guns that
remain will suddenly becomethe new assault weapons and those will be
goneafter. If we are to have bi-partisan agreement, let us
agreeto let law abiding people alone, and go aftercriminals. Let us
agree on no more gun lawsuntil we enforce the ones we already have.
I suppose 1Con got his guns at a show so that he could stay off the database
they will use to come after guns. Next he will demand that the law abiding not
have to register their cars for the same reason. Cjb goes one further and says
the list will be use to come after all guns are relabeled assault weapons. What
channel are these folks watching? Don't anyone remind them the government
fluoridates their water against their will.
Why have laws? Criminals will just disregard them.
