    I wonder what we'll remember most about his time as Pope?

    These 7 years have been tumultuous times for him and the faithful that put trust in the Church in their own beliefs. This would have been a hard decision for him to make. The Cardinals will have a difficult task in their process knowing what will need to happen. It is not appearing to be easier for that calling.

    Here’s my guess…

    A total rejection of the values that gave rise to Vatican II and a hastening of the intellectual (and perhaps actual) decline of the Church.

    One of the worst Popes of the modern era… and given the company, that’s saying something.

    I actually respect his decision, hopefully this will set a precedent for the Catholic church and encourage future popes to step down with dignity while they're still reasonably healthy.

    I think he will be remembered with fondness by the believers for his courage...and will be criticized by the anti-Christians.
