Clinton exposed the far rights horse and pony show for what it is. Shame on the far right for using this tragic event for their selfish political theater.

I loved the part where she reminded Senator McCain that there is legislation that has been pending for almost 2 years now that would have gone a long way to preventing this in the first place - and her follow up comment about people who are so concerned now but who objected to even the minimal security there at the time.

4 die in Benghazi due to budget cuts for security and the far right is upset.

4,000 die in Iraq based on falsehoods and they say nothing.

How dare anyone ask a liberal politician to be accountable for their failures! Accountability is only for Republicans. Anyone who demands answers, asks questions and tries to learn what happened from a liberal politician is on a "witch hunt"!

@ Pagan: In testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Charlene Lamb, a deputy assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security, was asked, “Was there any budget consideration and lack of budget which led you not to increase the number of people in the security force in Benghazi?”
Lamb responded, “No, sir.” So much for that lie!

About the "falsehoods" in Iraq. For the 16 trillionth time, we went to war with Iraq for the same reason we went to war against Japan and Germany, we were attacked and thousands of innocent people were killed. We went in and removed murdering dictators and left the people to govern themselves. As President Bush accurately told us we are not fighting a particular country, but an ideology (Al Qaida) from many countries. That's why those Navy Seals killed bin Laden in Pakistan and we are STILL at war with Al Qaida even though Obama don't believe it and that is why Benghazi and more recently Algeria puzzles them so much! Weapons of mass destruction are plentiful in Syria and Iran; same enemy, different countries.

Actually when both Clinton and Obama have already taken accountability and republicans clearly not intersted in the facts wanted to sit around and make grand speeches over dead American bodies it was and will be called political circus.

@ Tolstoy. What "facts" are you talking about? The facts haven't come out yet and likely never will, just like fast and furious debacle and the white house intelligent leaks scam; all neatly covered up and swept under the rug!

She's had 4 months since the incident to practice her feigned indignation, theatrical raised voice, and finger pointing. She has no temperament or character to be President of the U.S. as she failed to take responsibility for what was clearly within her Department. She's the head of the Dept. of State, and yet, says she didn't see this cable, or that report, or wasn't informed of this or that. If that were you or me in our regular job, we'd be FIRED, and rightly so!

"we went to war with Iraq for the same reason we went to war against Japan and Germany"

Whoa there, when did Iraq attack the US? When has Iraq shown any capability of attacking the US? You do know that Saddam had nothing to do with al-Qaeda, Saddam was not exactly Bin Ladens biggest fan.

You can google the known facts just like anyone else. They may not be what you wanted to hear but they are what they are.

Your endless need to believe that "the left" is endlessly conspiring to take over the world does not change the known facts of these sad events.

Thank you for finally admitting what this really was all about. This was nothing more then theatrics to start attacking a potential rival for the 2016 presidency, it had nothing to do with accountability (which again she already took accountability) or the facts. The problem for republicans now is that they came off so badly that any mention of this in 2016 is just going to look like another birther type nonsense.

The US military removed a murdering dictator from Iraq and gave their country back to the people of Iraq. Just like we did in France (twice in one century) Italy, the Philippines, and a long list of other countries. Whether you think it was worth the blood and sacrifice to do it in Iraq can be debated. We did a similar action in Libya but without troops on the ground. Incidentally, my son did two tours in Iraq with the 5th Marines and he was at war there with Al Qaida who flowed into the country from other countries to fight the "infidels"; the same enemy we now fight all over the world!

Clintons r savvy politicians--to go on the attack as a ruse of defending the indefensable. I'm guessing they (clintons) want to b Pres. again, 2016. She does not accept any adverse consequences for herself as result of her "admitted?" mistakes. So does this constitute accepting responsibility? I would say not. That is why hearings r needed.

Maybe the fact that both her and Obama both publicly accepted responsibility means they took responsibility but once again thank you for admitting these hearings where about gop thugs positioning for the 2016 election and nothing to do with the four Americans tragic death.

To George, in the Bronx. I am incredulous that anyone, even ardent libs, could review what happened in Libya and give Hillary Clinton a pass? C'mon. She was the top officer of the State Department. Whatever happened to the "Buck Stops Here?" Wasn't a good Democrat, Harry Truman, who said that? There were all kinds of warnings and diplomatic cables that she said she "never read." Maybe she was too busy racking up the miles on Air Force Two visiting every country in the world at our expense? I read where she broke the record for both the number of miles flown as Secretary of State, and the number of official state visits. That's not a record to be proud of when she should have been back in her office minding the store. I'm not a Hillary Clinton basher. Heaven knows, I'd still take her as the POTUS over Obama any day. I just expect office holders like her to be straight with the American People and tell it like it is. Don't cover up, spin, or point the finger when she should own up to her own failings.

The facts don't change because you choose to feign anger to try to deflect the realty laid bare yesterday that people like you have turned tragic deaths into political Spector

If hillary cannot tell the difference between a coordinated attack and a spontaneous riot, she has no business in ANY job involving security, despite all her feigned outrage.

We have the typical leftist clinton-defense. They can lie to federal judges, cover up scandals, do anything they want and the left and the MSM give them pass. Makes you wonder what went on behind the scenes in 08 when they nominated BO? Oh, that's right, it was the super-delegates, the party insiders that gave BO the nomination, even though hillary had more popular support. What a corrupt party machine!

thats right its all a grand conspiracy lost.As to clintons abilities I would say given the known facts it is not her that seems to be having or had difficulty digesting reality.

    Tolstoy,
another typical leftist response. Make something up and ascribe it to the other side, then attack the thing you made up.

NOWHERE did I say ANYTHING about a conspiracy.

OK, let's try it on you.

    Tolstoy,
I don't care what you say, pigs and camels are NOT kosher!! stop trying to mislead!

    Enjoy that?

But to get back on topic - Hillary doesn't know the difference between a coordinated attack and a spontaneous riot, and you say she has no trouble digesting reality. too funny!

  • Happy Valley Heretic Orem, UT

Too funny, we have MtnMan giving us revisionist history about how Iraq attacked us and 10 years of war is equal to a few weeks of air support in Libya.

Then You get Lost who describes a vast conspiracy below.
They can lie to federal judges,
    cover up scandals,
do anything they want and the left and the MSM give them pass.
Makes you wonder what went on behind the scenes in 08 when they nominated BO?
Oh, that's right, it was the super-delegates, the party insiders that gave BO the nomination,
even though hillary had more popular support. What a corrupt party machine!

...and then claims, "since I didn't use the word conspiracy" that Tolstoy is lying.

I Think that Hillary does know the difference between a coordinated attack and a spontaneous riot, better than you understand what the word conspiracy.
