But remember, the NRA says we can't and mustn't do anything to prevent
this kind of thing other than find a way to identify folks like this kid and
stop them before they do it.
@one old man. No one thinks their child is capable of this. The child should
have been institutionalized. Once again you are denying what the real problem
is. The child didn't murder his family because there were guns in the home.
Why would a 15 year old boy think it's acceptable to murder his family?
Guns keep us safe.Bang.Guns keep us safe.Bang.Guns keep us...
15 year old kids are very impulsive. We don't know whether or not he had
previous mental problems. But the apparently easy availability of
those guns enabled him to act on an impulse. If you have teenagers in
your home, maybe you'd better be careful how you store your guns. They
don't always stop to think before they act.Is it really me who
is denying what the real problem is?
@PaganNo gun goes "Bang" on its own. Someone pulls the
trigger. That's why people are prosecuted for crimes, not inanimate objects
like guns. Do you believe in solving the problem or do you believe in just
throwing blame? @one old manIs your idea to prevent this
kind of thing to just take away all the guns? Do you believe in punishing law
abiding citizens for the crimes of others? You two are about taking
away Second Amendment rights and controlling others...neither one of you even
addresses the real problem.
teleste, no, I'm not advocating that.Just some common sense
requirements to make us all a bit safer.
teleste:I'm not sure that is what old man is saying but I will
say this. I don't want to take away gun rights but if you had children,
especially in the teenage years, I would as recommended, keep them locked up or
not have them at all. Something like what happened here is a lot more common
than a school shooting.
NRA will now come out in favor of an armed guard in every home.
The NRA states that a armed good guy will take out a bad guy.If thats the case
then maybe the al the family should of had a gun. That way one could have at
least got a shot off. Now lets hear what the NRA has to say about his and the
shootings at all the gun shows over the weekend. That is going to be
interesting. But as we all know they will never say a word.
If we are going to talk about blame...let's talk about the
people who fight for the guns to be shot at the good guys.
