I really cannot believe that the media is playing up this story. Leave the kid
They played up the story of her "death" which is why this is such a big
story now. It's unavoidable. Just a sad, weird story.
Those helmets ain't workin'.But he'll fit right in at the
NFL.One day he has $20 million in the bank and three months later
he's selling his trophies to buy groceries. You wait and see.P.S. -
The story still smells.
Yes we know he was involved in "creating" the hoax, but once it got
rolling he did nothing to end it, in fact he embellished it.
Some of you are reading stuff into this story and drawing false, unproven
conclusions. In my opinion this is just in innocent islander who takes
everything at face value because of his basic honesty and innocence. Leave it
alone. It amounts to nothsing but an "in the family" prank gone awry.
Some people push practical jokes way too far.
what is expected from a 20 year old individual. look at the heisman winnner, he
was acting like a 20 year old as well. one insurance company claims that young
adult drivers still have under devloped parts of the brain pertaining to
judgement. at least he wasn't junmpin around half naked with a viking hat
on at a frat house. it could have been worse. we are trying to judge a 20 year
old by old man standards. now if he was an older gentleman doing this, it would
look really bad.
Red Corvette, where is the Bridge you have for sale? LOL I was in the Army and
there were so many false lives out there that stories like this were the
norm.I think he was pranked, just an innocent kid - remember when
you were 18-20+. I think he is a great young man even if he lied to his Dad.
Let him who has never lied to his did cast the first stone!! LOLCut
him some slack, with the talents he is blessed with, he can buy all of you out
in a few months. All is well that ends well. Like he said, if his family is
OK, he is OK.My best to the Te'o family.
I Believe him.I believe that he was not part of creating or
participating in the hoax, other than being a victim of the hoax. I believe
that he made some bad choices, including lying or "tailoring" his
stories to cover his embarrassment of a strictly online/phone relationship. I
believe the media did not help in the original telling of the death/girlfriend
story. I don't blame the media, but too many times, the public is at the
mercy of the context of any words and information that are reported. I believe that it is possible in this day and age of cynicism that there are
honest people in this world. I believe that this is a young man that is
embarrassed and hurt and sorry for his actions that were wrong. I also believe
that trust is a lonely virtue in our society. I choose to trust and believe
NFL consultant Gil Brandt "In that game against Alabama, this was like a guy
who was the best shooter in the world in basketball and here comes a game and he
can't even hit the backboard. His play in that game was absolutely
horrible. He missed on run blitzes; guys ran over him ..."Turns
out his on-field skills were imaginary too.
“Some people push practical jokes way too far.”I think
he was very gullable. When a person is gullable, there is always some fool
thatmakes a game at pushing the gullable one as far as they can be pushed
before breaking. How many posters and news comentaters will actually
feel guilty, if they have alread pushed this victim to the point of breaking?I think it is far past time to drop this issue that strarted as a fun
thing to do to a gullable guy.Let’s stop it now.
There seems to be some anger against te'o for being naive. This kid was
duped. No doubt about it. Now it is time to move on.
I hope that this young man can quickly grow thick skin and ride out the vicious
Have a ticket to Brooklyn Bridge used only once; a quote from the 1991 animation
Fievel Goes West. he doesn't seem to show emotion when the young lady dies.
Body language facial expressions looks questionable. there is a lady on Bill O
Reilly that reads body language, that would be a good place to analyze his body
Who really cares about this so called "story"? What is the news in
this? Did someone get ripped off or hurt? No. Did someone get made to look
like a fool? Yeah! And so what? Is the world so boring that this stuff is
news worthy? I keep reading to try and figure out why people are so fascinated,
but I can't figure it out. Then again, I think tweeting is
stupid, I think "trending" is a ridiculous idea, and celebrity means
less than nothing to me; so what do I know.
