What a mess. Did anyone plan for this? UDOT and local municipalities should have
started working years ago to plan for the possibility of a new highway corridor;
ever since Legacy Highway was started a decade ago, government leaders should
have anticipated the need to extend it further north to accommodate the
inevitable growth. If I understand it correctly, the threatened homes are all
nearly new construction; if transportation and city planners had done their job
just a few years ago, this could have been avoided.
Don't build the danged thing. The future belongs to mass transit. Respect
residential property rights.
What plans? You don't need to plan when all you care about is getting your
buddies (who contributed the most to your reelection campaign) the contracts
