No one has said this yet so I will. During the campaign, Jim said that Mia was
a horrible mayor and raised taxes. If this was the case then why did she gain
70% of the vote in UT County where most of the voters are very tax adverse. Jim
got a way with telling a few whoppers and the media did not call him out on it.
Proud of you Mia... You were too good for the Washington crowd.
"Federal records also show $12 million was spent in Utah's U.S. Senate
race won by Republican Orrin Hatch, who spent $9.9 million from his coffers
while outside groups spent nearly $1.8 million on his behalf.Hatch's opponent in the general election, Democrat Scott Howell, spent
only $364,700 and did not get any financial backing from outside groups."In other words, we got the best senator money could buy.
How many people could be fed with $11.2M?
"the most expensive campaign in Utah history"Why?
Superpacs.I cannot understand why anyone thinks that more money in
politics is the answer. But, try to find a Republican who does not
support the Citizens United Ruling. They may be out there, but greatly
For Sale: U.S. Congress! Is this a great country or what?
I voted for love but only because I thought mathason had terrible ads.
Jim Mathason is a good congressman and represents Utah in a professional manner.
Love and the Tea Party lost. Get over it.
Re: Play by the Rules,Because UT County voters check the name with
the R next to it...it makes voting really easy.
This was the Republican Party's form of stimulating the economy.
It was stupid. Almost every day I had a flyer in my mailbox trashing Mia Love.
Honest. I sent an email to the local demo group here in Salt Lake complaining
about their mud throwing tactics. I actually got a reply. It was basically
asking me a question, something like "which one was it that offended
you". There were so many all with one intent, say something bad about Mia
Love. I do remember one that actually said something positive about Jim
Matheson. It was his support of the NRA or something like that. The
Mia Love camp sent out trash also. But not nearly to the level of the other
side. Maybe 1 to 4 in my mailbox at least.I smile at what someone
called Beverly said in a previous comment. "Jim Mathason is a
good congressman and represents Utah in a professional manner. Love and the Tea
Party lost. Get over it."Based on my mailbox, I would say that
is not the case. Certainly not professional. I feel bad someone who sent out
that much trash is representing Utah. But the United States Postal System
Stupid, crazy stuff. Democracy will give you the best goverment you can buy!
I no longer live in Utah however if I did Mia Love would definitely get my
vote!! She is an extraordinarily intelligent woman and a solid Conservative.Love should give elective office another try!
What I have said before is that Matheson has blended in with the Obama tactics
of telling partial truths, which means, in reality, it is not the truth.
Anything that is meant to deceive is a lie. Integrity can go behind the door in
Washington, D.C. It is a shame, that Matheson didn't live in the District
he was elected into. If Mia had tried that tactic, she would have been
lambasted by the public, press, and most by others that couldn't stay in
their seat due to boundary issues.Money can buy a lot but not
necessarily integrity or the ability to look fair and square in the mirror. The
Democrats, according to the article at least, spent more than Mia Love did,
thanks to the Supreme Court's decision with PACs and Unions to put into the
Aloha from Oregon; My wife and I are retired and we hate the political
atmosphere here. Unions and Dumb Down education, and the idea of taxation with
out having a real say is why we wanted to go to Utah. They Democraps vote
in blocks. We out in the country do not have much of a say when the News
Mediacan't print the truth. So now we have a Socialist state and run
amuck with evil in their hearts. Now I see Utah has a lot of Oregon in its
large city's.I'm sure a lot of those who read this will be
grateful we wont come to any of the big city's. I'm real sad when I
read some of the things you say about Mia Love and her family.Hope for the
best of the great state of Utah. But it does not look good for you.Andy
