I have heard stories that claim that some LDS missionaries have used the search
for “Wonder Bread” as a tool to engage grocery store employees in
conversation. This is genuine “collateral damage”.Seriously, the loss of many hundreds of good jobs is unfortunate. The
“leveraged” people will come out fine.
When did Mitt Romney get involved with Hostess? Can't pay pensions but
bonuses for execs is warranted?
What is that smell? It's not fresh baked bread. The judge
should allow the $1.8 million to go to the workers who made the products, not
the execs who will find another company to milk.
Truly sad. And they're serious in their request...
There's a whole supply chain that is probably not getting paid what they
are owed and they want bonuses? So a bonus obviously is just an
"entitlement" to rich folk huh? They just expect it to be there no
matter how poorly they run the company.
I'll admit I don't understand the complexities of winding down a
company in bankruptcy, but my initial reaction is that this seems fishy to me.
I am no fan of unions, but I feel the company should pay their bills to their
creditors rather than give top executives large bonuses. The honest thing to do
is to pay debts to the best level possible and a "bonus" should not be
expected from a company that has no money.
