Israel is recognized by the entire world but won't recognize Palestine. Hypocrisy at it's finest.Palestinians can never rely on
a peaceful and legal defense of their country until they are LEGALLY recognized
in world courts. Duh. And people expect them to handle their grievances
peacefully when they CAN'T legally do so in court.
It was going to happen and Israel should have been at the table as a
facilitator. Israels intransigence has left them, not the Palestinians, as the
odd man out. The ultra orthodox carry the balance of power in Israel and they
have bet on the wrong horse.
Think for a moment, Screwdriver. Any country who is already recognized by the
world doesn't have any type of obligation to recognize any and every other
group that happens to want similar recognition... especially one who is a
self-avowed enemy. That is not hypocrisy. It's common sense. FYI... the
Palestinians still don't recognize Israel as a legitimate country. So why
should or would Israel recognize them, thereby giving an avowed enemy more power
and clout? To Casual Observer... It's never a bad bet to go with
a horse who has the United States as a strong stablemate. We're strong and
committed allies. I'd take that bet anytime. And why facilitate in any way
someone whose sworn objective is to destroy you? That would make no sense.Anyone who objectively follows the Palestine's (and particularly
Hamas) actions over the years knows without question that obtaining a peaceful
resolution with Israel is not it's top priority. But rather, it's to
abolish Israel... which has been it's admitted and stated object for many
centuries. It's ongoing indiscriminate small missile bombing of Israel
civilian areas is quite indicative and stands as proof.
