Once again Corbin outcoached. Hayward needs to go to the bench until he learns
how to shoot. He is absolutely horrible.Carroll showed what he could do and now
there is a player named Burks that can do the same. It's time for Tingsley
to also take a seat and watch. This team starters are playing for themselves and
not as a team. Time to shake up the lineup Coach. Wake up.
I finally got to watch a couple of Jazz games this week. I love our roster, but
we don't have any semblance of an organized offense. How can a team that
never fast breaks not have a half court offense? We look a lot like the Kings
at this point.
Im not very happy with Corbins starting lineup- cant play a lick of team defense
because of Jefferson, and because their best man-on-man defenders are on the
bench. IMHO, based on production (not expectation), the second team should be
starting or the rosters mixed to get better scoring and defense.Id
put Favors and Jefferson together, and Milsap with Cantor in the second unit.
Im also thinking Demarre over Marvin to get things rolling faster. Foye's
been playing great, but we need to get more of Burks.
Corbin needs help! Is Jerry still available?
Jefferson and Millsap cannot play on the same unit. Millsap is undersized and
cannot guard his man and Jefferson's. AJ also kills Millsaps offensive
game, (notice Sap does all of his damage when Favors is in the game). Last night
the defense of Kanter, Favors, and Carroll would have been enough to stop
Philly. Corbin went back to the same group that lost the lead four times in that
game, and he lost it! Hard playing defensive starters should be on the floor as
long possible. The key word is defensive. Jefferson kills this team with zero
mobility! He can score, but his game kills the entire team. That's Why he
has been traded so often in his short career. Kanter may look terrible on
offense at times, but nobody on this team plays better lateral rotation help
defense. I agree that we need a quality back up point guard ASAP! It isn't
Watson, and it isn't Tinsley.
Team is completely incapable of defending with Al Jefferson on the floor.
Nobody bothers because they know Jefferson can't defend his own man and he
certainly won't help.Yet Corbin continues to play him. What
does that tell his team mates about effort? Results speak for
I saw the same game as you guys. Corbin and Big Al are killing this team. I
think they both need to go before this team can progress. I'm sure getting
a good point guard in return for Al is too much to ask at this point, but if Al
can't be traded then I don't see why we have to play him so much and
drag the team down. Bench him then let him walk if thats as good a defensive
effort as he can come up with. IMO.
I saw the game last night. What I saw is that the Jazz looked like a bunch of
old players trying to compete against a group of young, athletic guards that
eviscerated the old Jazz defense. I realize that the Jazz will never admit to
the mistake they made in signing a bunch of players whose best days are 3-4
years behind them, but they nevertheless will pay the consequences of their bad
decisions. The Jazz claim that they got good experienced players, but they are
dead last in there division. What would it have hurt if we spent some of that
money on inexperienced young athletic players? They could have done no worse
than what we have now.
I agree that big al needs to go...i'd trade him and mo for an upper tier PG
and a project PF/C...as for Hayward not shooting well...its early in the
season..heck Klay Thompson...a known and bonefide shooter...shoots far more
worse than Hayward...and with the way the offense is built...i dont see him
getting quality shots...if Corbin really wants to win...and understand the skill
sets of his players...he would know that the offense...should run through
hayward..for a high pick and roll...he could either put it on the floor for a
layup...dish it to the cutting screener...kick out to an open wing...if we could
only sucker the 76ers...trading big al and his expiring contract + Mo Williams
for Jrue Holiday and Spencer Hawes and probably some lottery picks...
