They need to reduce residential mail deliver to 3 days a week. Business might
need daily mail but home owners sure don't.
You'd think the Post Office was run by th government. Oh, wait. It is...
Time to stop Monday and Saturday deliveries, park the unnecessary vehicles and
put the carriers back on their feet, and stop the government subsidies. And while they're at it, dismantle AMTRACK completely.
Dismantle the whole USPS and let a few other private companies come in to
compete with FedEx and UPS, especially in the letter-type mail. I'm sure
the change will not be welcome for a while, and then we will all get used to it.
Hopefully it would be better than my experiences with the USPS: Line out the
door, 2 people working. When asked why there couldn't be a couple more at
the unattended windows, the answer was those people were on break. Also, watch
one truck in my neighborhood literally drive from house to house, turning the
ignition on and off at each stop. That is truly amazing to me!
I agree. Absolutely stop Saturday delivery.
The NEW IMPROVED VERSION will be making the $5,600,000,000 annual payment for
future health benefits mandated by Congress?
Nice business plan guys, maybe someone should catch a clue here and start
downsizing this antique
The USPS is always showing a negative because it fully funds its employees
retirement each year, rather than paying same as they go as most other companies
do. This should not be the case as the USPS pleads poverty to our government
and wants them to bail them out and we should not do so. They should modify
their requirement that they fully fund their retirement each year and handle it
like other businessess do .
Sorry people, the post office can't stop daily delivery to homes, its
against the law. How would date and time limited law suits and courts notices be
delivered to the homes. Too many state and federal government agency's
depend on the USPS reliability in delivering legal documents.Besides, losses are irrelevant to governemnt agency's, even the post
office. Why is the post office the only establishmed legal government agency who
files loss reports when 95 percent of the government is bankrupt? The rest of
the government and country are $17 trillion dollars off the mark and we should
worry about a measly $15.9 billion from the post office? I find they are doing
an amazing job of restraint and accountability for the rest of the country to
follow. If every federal agency like the White House, CIA, FBI, NSA,
BTF, Welfare, Education, etc, could be as efficient our debt could be cut by 50%
and we could get a permanent tax cut.Besides, our constitution says
that government cannot make money from doing business so its all expected to
operate with a prescribe budget and no 100 year debts.
The effect of having a country that doesn't run on a budget anymore since
2009. We will bail them out with money that we don't have for our
great-great-grandchildren to pay the tab and our people end up on the dole of
the government that gives us everything, even the pink slip.
Charge $5 dollars for mail delivery on every letter to rich people. It's
only their fair share. Rich people? They're anyone who make more money than
