15 of 22 senators seeking re-election expected to cruise, including Hatch
This isn't surprising. The biggest problem I see is that too often the
incumbent wins re-election because their opponent is worse for one reason or
another. Why replace the incumbent with a clown, a hypocrite or worse? Most
people who would make good or even excellent reps don't want to run or
can't run due to the costs, personal attacks etc.
I think this just shows how stupid the American people are when it comes to
voting. You would think if politicans weren't going their job, people
would get rid of them. Just goes to show you people do not vote for the right
reasons but the wrong.
Annalaurab, are you sure the incumbent is better. Or are they often re-elected
simply because they have more money coming in from people who have benefited
from their favors? Have the incumbents already been purchased and their
challengers have not? This why Citizens United must be overturned and
serious campaign finance reform must be enacted. The amount of MONEY
sloshing around in our campaigns is simply obscene.
All people have to do is vote for the opposite party of their current incumbent.
But they would never do that. There is never anything good in another
party. That is why we need to remove parties from the process.
Remove the parties and incumbent status from ballots and you will see a higher
turn over of incumbents.
Term limit these career politician demagogues! Hatch, Reid, McCain, Pelosi..
they are whats wrong with Washington. People don't go to serve, they go to
protect their power and position..
Re: one old man Ogden, UT"Annalaurab, are you sure the incumbent is
better."That is the question Utah voters ask when they decide
between a 6-term Congressman or Mia Love. Why is Matheson so shy
about telling us who he supports for U.S. President?
Don't we already know, Rifleboy, that Jim supports the best man for the
