These types of truce don't last and haven't lasted over the centuries.
You have to have diplomacy and not just a warrior making an agreement. This is a small country for this administration so we don't need to
worry about any of the consequences. Hollywood will make a movie on it in a
couple of years and will make millions on it at that time. We can't use
diplomacy or that would break the cycle. We just have to let what happens
happen. The administration's policy is to wait until it is
convenient. At least, only 30,000, maybe that is all that have died, if the
count is right. How many injured and traumatized? Where did Iraq's
chemical weapons go? They just don't dissolve into thin air. If the
Syrian leader has killed 30,000 of his own people and injured many more, will he
use those potential chemical weapons as Saddam Hussein used them on his own
people? That is a significant threat. Chemical weapons aren't
selective in how they kill. They kill all people in a certain area if they are
not protected. However, Syrian is just small, insignificant.
IF Syria had Iraq's old chemical weapons and IF they had been used, then we
would already know about it, and guys like JWB would be reminding us about it
