It should have.
Color blind is the best policy. The UofU Med School actively recruits
minorities. Some are held to standards way lower than the typical white male
mormon from Utah. Many highly qualified applicants are turned away because
their spots are given to minorities so the school "looks better"
racially on paper. This is still racism. It needs to end.

solutions to solving many dilemmas in an imperfect world. For example, in the
case mentioned above or whenever the tie involves only two candidates,
how's bout a simple coin toss?This is yet another example of
why the institutionalizing of racism/sexism/isms in general, by government
entities of all sorts (but especially the Federal), is such a perniciously bad
idea. These short-sighted and ultimately hypocritical attempts at solving
problems like racism by addressing them in racist terms only makes the situation
worse.Dr. King had it right. Let merit, not silly racial
categorization, be the criterion.We could solve so many problems,
which are actually much simpler than too many of the problem "solvers"
make them out to be, if we just make the problem assessment and problem solving
processes more rational and less saturated with the stupidity and hypocrisy that
comes from political correctness.
