That's typical of the attitude towards education in Utah.Instead of building a good facility fully staffed professionals with new
books, they find some unused basement, with volunteers, with old crummy books
that no one wanted anymore for their library. Why am I not
surprised? Do more with less! And if you can't, we'll
blame you and fire you instead of looking at our dead last per-pupil spending.
Actually, it is a great example of communitarian living. We are a community -
whether in a city , a state or a nation - and when we work together for the
common good of all, that is when life is best. It's the American way.
Where was she during the fire and flooding going on in her city? Why does a city
the size of Saratoga Spring need a mayor and a city manager? Is she taking a
collection to fix the city's infrastructure problems? I want to know.
and remember her own words, She would LOVE to get rid of the
Department of Education.
Mia sounds like a fantastic community organizer! All my repub friends have told
me over the past 4 years that this is a bad trait not a good one. When I went onto her website a few weeks ago I found nothing of substance. I
clicked on her, "Issues" page and found absolutely nothing. You would
think that someone soooooo concerned with our country and soooooooo qualified
would be eager to express their ideas and plans for our country in great
detail. Why is Mia so reluctant to describe her ideas and plans? My suggestion? Mia should stay as Mayor in Saratoga Springs.
I must visit the Saratoga Springs library sometime soon, and see if it is more
interesting than the more typical public library. Public donations might well
have produced some interesting volumes. There are imo too much fiction and too
much of pop culture in libraries, things you can get cheaply in many places, and
yet you often cannot get some of the great literature and classics of the
past.In Logan I tried without success to get a particular work on
Isaac Newton that the old library had (back in 1979). No luck; it is not
indexed any more. It seems they dumped it or it was sold off for pennies at one
of those library sales.
I still find it strange not one letter to the editor from the city she was
actually mayor supporting or criticizing her as their mayor. I would like to
know what the people she actually represented think of her.
I agree that the citizens of Saratoga Springs are silent. I guess if they said
anything negative, they would be in lots of trouble. That's why this
letter writer from West Jordan tells about the Saratoga Springs library. No
where in the letter does she actually state that she has been to this library
down the road. The only information she has is what she got from the Mia Love
campaign. Too bad we aren't hearing from those in Saratoga Springs.
If Mia was so great why hasn't anyone from her city written a letter?
This writer should check her facts because there isn't a saratoga springs
library. It never got off the ground.
If you love the Tea Party, you will adore Mia.
What record is that? I've seen nothing to indicate that she's any
type of leader, much less a great one. I've seen nothing on her website
that she has any plans should she become a Representative. I guess it's
time for people to recognize that the Emperor (Mayor Mia) has no clothes.
