The article in todays New York Times details Mitt Romney as the type of chief
executive that is needed by this country. The unspoken, but obvious, contrast
with Mr. Obama is stark. It is someone who makes decisions based on intelligence
versus someone that acts on emotion or rigid political ideology.
So does Owl think that getting bin Laden was a matter of "emotion"?
@owlwhat evidence to you have to support the claim that Obama makes
decisions based on emotion or that Romney is any less an ideolog? empty
rhetoric is cheap lets see some facts.
re:OwlDid you actually read the article in the New York Times which
stated: "In his approach, there are intriguing echoes of and
departures from presidents past. His intensely hands-on style sets him apart
from George W. Bush, the self-styled chairman of the board, and Ronald Reagan,
who cared only for the big picture and left dirt-under-the-fingernails policy
work to his staff. His tendency to immerse himself in the details recalls Lyndon
B. Johnson, who closeted himself with Pentagon brass to personally choose
targets for American bombers during the Vietnam War. His passion for mastering
policy and deliberative decision-making evokes the man he wishes to replace,
So many totally forget that President Obama only gave the go ahead to get Bin
Laden it was the Navy Seals who put their lives on the line to capture him not
Obama. It was the work by many and first started with President Bush. Everyone
who is totally in love with Obama thinks that he and him alone did the job. He
has been such a weak President and now who knows what is going on with Lybia. It
worries me as I have a couple of children who are now serving in the Military
and with what he has done to make sure the he looks o.k. I really think stinks.
He is weak with the economy and now he is looking weak with What is going on
with the World. I am totally afraid if he gets elected again what he is going to
do in his second term. God Bless America
As Mitt Romney prepares for the next debate on foreign policy, the use of
America's military should be a central discussion point. The projection of
American power into various regions and the possibility of military action is
significant. However, it is important to know upon whom the burden of fighting
should fall since Ann Romney, the candidate's wife, said in an interview on
The View that she considered serving a Mormon mission to be equivalent to
serving in the military. Since neither Mitt Romney nor any of this family has
served in the military, it becomes even more sensitive to know how he regards
those who are called upon to serve.Does he share his wife's
view that a Mormon mission is the same facing down Taliban fighters in eastern
Afganistan? It is okay that Ann Romney consider missionary activity as turning
her sons into men, but equating missionary life to military service is not the
way to gain credibility on foreign affairs.
Obama supporters have only emotion to base their support of him. Why are Obama
supporters so willing to accept the corruption (Solyndra, A123, fast and
furious, White House intelligence leaks, the Benghazi coverup and lies and his
failures in the economy if not on emotion only? Why do you demand so little of
your president and so much from everyone else?
This election is between the producers and consumers. The "makers vs
