Braidwood Nuclear Generating Station: 2,330 Mega Watts produced. 4457 acres of
land including it's cooling lake. Built on am old stripe mine and waste
farm land. Seems much more efficient and environmentally sound than tearing
apart 285,000 acres to produce power in a much less efficient way! What a waste
When it comes to streamlining any kind of development the Federal Government is
like a boat anchor. Their specialty? Red tape.
China has got to love these folks in the Obama administration, after all the
solar panels being installed now were made in China, same place that has
donations coming into the O's campaign charge account. At a seminar I
attended several years ago, if you produce the same power that is generated from
one of the largest wind farms in the United States located in Washington
State, and did it with Solar panels, the grid would be bigger than Los Angeles
county, now thats real and renewable.....cheeeeeez!what a country.A guy in
a suit wearing a ball cap, pretty much says it all.
We have to start somewhere. We can't continue to rely on only coal and
oil.As for those panels being produced in China . . . one reason.
No research and development in the U.S.Why not?Can you
say, "Petroleum Lobby?"
Anyone even vaguely familiar with the NSA facility being built in Draper, Utah
understands the futility of making a profit on a contract with Uncle Sam. When
it comes to helping small businesses the federal government can be compared with
thugs in a dark alley waiting for their next victim.
