Well, when you have liberal pundits saying one thing and conservative pundits
saying the other, it is not surprising that you have a stalemate. Those who
liked Joe Biden going in, liked him coming out and thought he did really well.
Those who liked Paul Ryan going in, liked him coming out and thought he did
really well. Those who liked Joe Biden, didn't like Paul Ryan. Those who
liked Paul Ryan, didn't like Joe Biden. So what's new?The primary difference between the first presidential debate and the
only vice-presidential debate is that in the first presidential debate,
conservatives praised Romeny as the winner, while in the only vice-presidential
debate, conservatives criticized Biden. There is something very telling in how
they focused their attention in the two debates.Where they were
exceedingly happy with Romney's performance in the first presidential
debate, there is not the same enthusiasm about Ryan's performance in the
only vice-presidential debate. Now this may be because vice-presidential
debates don't mean very much. However, Republican emphasis on Biden's
exasperation and his displays of frustration may be a key to how the debate
Joe Biden was horrible tonight. It is a shame that our Vice President behaves
the way that he did tonight towards Paul Ryan. I am sorry but I think that he
lost the debate and more than like the election. He was arrogant and rude with
his smirk and laughing when Paul Ryan was talking. If I had done that to someone
my parents would have slapped me so hard across the face that I would never do
that again. If any of my children were to treat someone like that they would
probably get a an ear full from me and would know that it is unacceptable in
treating someone like that. I really do think now that Mitt Romney is going to
be out next President.
My English teachers taught me that the most important words of a sentence are __
___ ___. If they are cut off, the listener or reader has no idea ____ ___ ___
______ __ ___.Yet in political debate and in some talk shows,
opponents and hosts interrupt, leaving ___ ________ __ _______ ____ ___
__________ __ ___ _______.Mr. Biden should be ashamed __ _______.
Vice President Biden presented precise and accurate facts and figures. Ryan
obfuscated and produced wild flights of rhetoric with no substance, together
with lies about the administration's positions and programs. On substance,
the Vice President clearly won.
Romney set the bar pretty low for interrupting last week and he wasn't
going to let lyin ryan do what mitt did.Biden looked like a leader while
ryan looked confused when called on mit and his lies."arrogant
and rude" did you watch the presidential debate, mitt was a CEO bully who is
used to having his way and it showed.
I say we put a string accross the middle of the country. Just dissolve the
union. All those republican govenors that wanted to succeed from the union 4
years ago can go ahead now.
For me Biden likely did more damage to himself vis-a-vis undecided or
independent voters, with his more frequent and more lengthy interruptions and
disruptions during the debate and his sustained expressions of ridicule during
most of Ryan's statements. Still I noticed that Biden seemed
sincere, rather knowledgeable, and interested, when the conversatio turned to
foreign affairs. Instead of just wide toothy grins at Ryan's opinions and
statements, Biden seemed to listen intently and seriously when the Middle East
wars were brought up, and then followed up with serious statements regarding the
issues surrounding these wars. His conclusions were not new but usually
appeared both sound and genuine; get troops out of Afghanistan, for instance, as
Afghans are trained to fully take on their own military obligations.Ryan was much more convincing on financial matters which Biden didn't
seem to comprehend very deeply. On this and other important matters Ryan
sounded generally savvy, well informed and smart.Neither man
mentioned the Supreme Law of the Land, however, except Ryan when discussing
abortion and the 'right to life' and the First Amendment rights of
religion and prohibition of Congressional interference in religious matters.
Most comical report on the debate:Rush Limbaugh saying that
"Biden was loud, rude, and overbearing." Consider the source of that
Biden is the Vice President of the USA. Not a TV or radio commentator. He
interrupted Ryan 80+ times. He was loud, insulting and arrogantly either smirked
or laughed constantly. Only the most die hard liberal partisan would say Mitt
Romney's assertive yet polite debate demeanor compared to Biden's
over-the-top boisterous behavior. It was amazing that Paul Ryan was able to
express his ideas as well as he did while being constantly interrupted. Is this
mockery the standard for liberals in politics?
To "freedomingood" That is a great idea, except that states like New
York would want to simply remove New York City, then join the Republican states.
You realize that the republican states would soon have balanced budgets, and
would have significant economic growth.Meanwhile, the Democrat
states would soon implode and want to rejoin the Republican states.
