I'm thinking the FDA, along with PBS and planned parenthood, are among the
funded organisations and agencies that are draining the nations treasury and
putting up regulatory roadblocks in front of freedom loving, job creating
american companies. Like much of the federal government, we've kind of
decided we don't need them anymore.
But asking the Government to protect us from food illnesses would be totally
wrong.Wouldn't that place more job-killing obstacles in the way
of the profits needed to create more jobs? How can we continue to employ the
illegal workers who are hired by many of our corporate farms that contribute so
generously to the campaigns and Super PACs that support their conservative
savior?Wouldn't that consume taxpayer dollars? Wouldn't
that mean (gasp) GROWING the evil government? No. It's far
better for a few people to die than do any of those awful things.
"...Washington should do more to protect us...".I thought
Washington was supposed to get out of the way?Reset? Reboot? Etch-a-sketch?
Protect yourself, be responsible for your own life. Asking the government to
protect us is socialism. (I'm just practicing so I can fit in when the
Romney/Ryan administration takes over)
People can be more productive in life when their bodies aren't battling
every form of poison nature can produce in uncontrolled environments. We
aren't all farmers and ranchers and can't personally ensure that each
can of food is safe. Urban Jungle was an eye-opener.
So wait, we need more government in our lives? It's so difficult
to keep up with repubs. One day it's, "I hate the feds! Get the
government out!" The next day it's, "We need more government
intervention!" So which is it?I have no clue. Lets just avoid the GOP altogether.
Sounds like more governmental regulation which as we all know is just a
socialistic communist plot.
Paul Schwarz has been very active in sending that same "letter" to
newspapers all over America. Goggle, "Paul Schwarz Mcclatchy-tribune News
Service".What is his real point? He's telling us that we
need government checking and testing on our farms and in our fields. Who's
going to pay those bureaucrat's salaries? You and I will pay at the
grocery store. Grocery prices could easily double. Just compare a
bureaucrat's salary to a farmer's income. Unthinking
people will agree with him. They'll shout for joy that "finally"
the government is doing its job to protect us from food. Thinking
people will reject his premise. They will reject having big brother delay
getting fresh food to market. Thinking people know that, in a free market
system, food producers self-regulate. We have a court system that
handles this kind of problem. We don't need a food czar telling what we
can or cannot eat.
