With the Beavs and Cougs defenses, this could turn into another low scoring
game. Should be interesting with OSUs backup and Riley's return - I'm
not expecting a lot of fireworks on the offensive side of the ball.
The 'Beavs' pass defense is 111th in the country. Their run defense is
considerably more stout, but if Nelson and Doman can somehow get the pass game
going, this could be a more onsided affair than the rankings indicate. If not,
and BYU has only Williams and the QB draw to move the ball, expect a 10-7 type
game, like the one OSU played against Wisconsin. Additionally, OSU
was pretty one-dimensional offensively (leaning to the pass) and with a kid who
hasn't played a competetive snap in nearly 2 years stepping in at QB and a
BYU pass defense that is ranked 12th in yards per game (1st in rushing ypg),
this could be an ugly one (offensively) for OSU.
I'm glad that Riles gets to see the Beavers this Saturday. It's about
time! I expect a low scoring game with BYU coming out on top.
