Well of COURSE!That's what happens when you want to kill off
education, put older folks into the poorhouse or on the street by lining your
rich buddy's pockets with their medical care money, can't tell the
truth to save your skin, get caught hiding money in foreign banks, tick off the
poor by making them pay your taxes, and generally appeal to only 1% of the
nation.Mitt is his own worst political enemy.
Has Romney said ANYTHING specific about aims/plans/policies, or has he just been
trashing President Obama?Ah.. I see....Hmmmmm...maybe
he'd have more appeal if he'd say something--ANYTHING--of
substance. His act is wearing very thin. His phony plastic
exterior is just not enough to fool enough people into getting elected.Even with the electoral college, he'll lose. And if were a general
vote count, sans electoral numbers, he'd get swamped. He'd concede 2
hours into the election.
And the best part is, that in 4 more years, Romney will fade away, as do all
losers, and a TRUE gentleman and more a true republican, John Huntsman will be
the best GOP choice. But the tea partiers will snarl and snort about him,
and we'll elect another Democrat.
Anyone could see this coming. The Republicans are like the little kid bragging
about being the greatest baseball player but turned from batter to pitcher when
he could not hit the ball. They cannot accept that it is their message of
trickle down economics that will defeat them. Now it is all Romney's fault.
Romney should do what he feels is right and let the consequences follow.
Mr. Romney ran to the far right trying to appease the hardliners in the
republican party. Failing of course to realize even though Rush Limbaugh, Sean
Hannity and Fox News think the speak for America, they really don't.
Republicans running for election realize now that in most places, the need to
appeal to those votes who are center right (the majority of the country) and
distance themselves from the far left. In Utah of course we are an anomaly
because the further right you go, Love, Chaffetz, Lee, the more love you get.
I am one of those center right Americans, who Mr. Romney turned his
back on to appease the 1% and the tea party. I won't vote for you when the
best you can do is "I am not as bad as the other guy". Mr. Romney has
made the other guy look like a better choice, look more presidential. Ronald Reagan would never have made it through the primary in today's
republican party. Reagan built the big tent for the party, Rush, Shaun and the
gang have torn that down and replaced it with an umbrella. We are right,
everyone else is wrong!
The Deseret News is really stupid to publish this story and fall into line with
the rest of the liberal press. Throw all the mud you can and try to keep your
golden boy Barack Obama from losing the election. All the Republicans that are
supposedly sniping at Romney are just playing into Obama's hands. How
stupid can you get people! Enough already! All you liberals that love to post
your comments in here are suffering from STOCKHOLM SYNDROME. It is really easy
to be backseat drivers and Monday Morning Quarterbacks and try to tell someone
how to run their campaign. I would like to see those doing the sniping run for
public office. Of course all of you would do a perfect job of it, I'm sure.
All of you just can't stand the fact that Mitt is the best qualified to put
the country back in the black. What is at stake here is not just the economy but
a choice between freedoms on the one hand and ruin on the other. Don't you
liberals ever do any research? Do you have to listen to the talking heads for
Somehow, "I told you so" just doesn't quite say it...
Mitt Romney could articulate in great detail all the specifics of his plan to
bring the U.S. back to economic recovery and some people will still deny that
Romney has given us any specifics. With how horrible of a job Obama
has done, Romney shouldn't need a fantastic campaign to win the election.
That is, unless Americans have grown accustomed to failure, which is what I fear
"Stockholm Syndrome"?Now, I've heard some doozy spin in
my day, but that one takes the prize... for the most audaciously absurd!I'm surprised we haven't heard Romney himself say that!;-)
I M LDS 2Provo, UTAgreed.BTW - How about that
opening line:"The Deseret News is really stupid to publish this story
and fall into line with the rest of the liberal press."ROTF-LOL
The republican party needs to shed the cancer better known as the 'tea
party'. After this years presidential beat down it may finally happen.
Romney sealed his doom with two huge blunders. The Paul Ryan choice was a
disaster as we got two men more suited to run a country rather than run the
country. Tea party pressure was certainly behind that. Then we had the 47%
comment that sealed the deal. Let's just dismiss 47% of the people with
the off the cuff comment 'I can't worry about them.'
Romney is going to win by a landslide you just watch and see. All of you who are
falling in line with what the media is trying to do here are just plain our of
touch. I have seen all over this Country the crowds that he is talking to. They
look like the crowds that Obama had four years ago and Obama's are not half
the size as Mitt's are. You just wait and see there is going to be a lot of
people with egg on their faces come Nov. 7th when Romney wins big time.
The first sign that the ship is going down is when the rats start jumping. The
play will be complete when Ryan starts throwing Willard under the bus.
