How much money was wasted on an otherwise obvious point.
Don't you just love it when when someone at Carl's Junior orders the
1030 calorie Western Bacon Burger, with the 820 calorie Chili Cheese Fries, and
then, in a moment of self control orders the Diet Coke. Heck, if you're
going to gorge yourself go all the way, and get the high fructose corn syrup 64
So when are we going to regulate this stuff as a public health issue like we do
with alcohol and tobacco?
Other Sugary Items: Carmel Corn, Candy, Pies, Cakes, Ice Cream, Sweet Breads,
Glazes, Cup Cakes, Brownies, Coffee's, Non carbonated Sugar added drinks,
Cookies, Pastries, Donuts. Now moderation in all things would help fix this
issue , but regulation will bring about the elimination of these for the
supposed good of the public. So if you work for Coke, Pepsi, Doctor Pepper, 7
Up, Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Movie Theaters,
Garretts Carmel Corn in Chicago,Dairy Creme, Baskin Robbins, Cold Stone, Foster
Freeze, Nestle, M@M MARS, Brach's, Cadbury any Bakery even in grocery
stores ect.... say good bye to your job! So the government will cut out your
jobs to take away someones choice and put millions of people out of work!
Enough! So less food choices but more food stamps!
The problem isn't just sodas. It is sports drinks (e.g. Gatorade), fruit
juices (yep!), chocolate milk, etc. Drinks like Tampico are loaded with sugar.
And to those who think honey or other "natural" sugars are better than
HFCS, check again. They are all metabolized approximately the same way by the
body (there are very slight differences in the fructose/glucose mix, but these
are extremely slight differences). So we need to think broadly about
sweet/sweetened drinks. These are loaded with calories but do little to curb
hunger, so they tend to cause higher caloric intake and obesity.Cut
out the sweet drinks and go for water. Maybe then more of us will stop packing
on the rolls and bulges.

process. Because they are so sweet & full of empty calories, they leave no
sense of being full. So, people keep consuming.
re: liberal larryI have the burger without fries but have water. My
waistline has gone down & seen my wallet expand.
