Thank you for this essay Gov Walker. My best friend a prominent surgeon in Naperville, Ill died of this. I hope your article stirs up some interest. I did not know this was so common a condition.

Thank-you so much Gov. Walker for lending a voice to those of us living with (or more accurately dying from) Pulmonary Fibrosis. So many of our attempts to reach our congressmen have fallen on deaf ears. Thank-you for supporting Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness month in such an impactful way. Hopefully funding will be released so future patients don't have to literally suffocate to death like we are. ((Hugs)) to you.

Also in the other comment a Naperville surgeon was talked about who succumbed to PF... I'm originally from there and was just wondering who it was? You can email me at decopeg10@aol.com. Thanks.

We had just discussed a patient admitted to the hospital with this dreadful disorder, now complicated by pneumonia (which we can at least treat). I would invite Gov Walker to speak with me because we are developing some research techniques at the U of U that might help identify possible infectious causes of UIP, a precursor to IPF. I will discuss the possibilities for further research with some pulmonologists. The DesNews has my name and email, which I authorize them to release to the former governor.

Why should the people who’s cries for help were ignored by the group of this author have sympathy and donate their money to that person.
