Who can argue with this? For years, many of us have been advocates for limited money in political campaigns, including public financing, and shorter campaign seasons more focused on issues. Instead, we have gone in the opposite direction, and few like the results, save the mega rich who spend to buy off politicians and skew policy in a self - serving direction. The threat to our freedom is coming from this direction, mark my word.

What's your alternative, Mr. Thomasson? One party and one candidate who gets 99.9% of the vote? Like in North Korea?

The downside to a vigorous political system is that things can get kind of vigorous.

Romney killed a mans wife by shutting down a steel plant - Republicans want to push granny over the cliff - Republicans want kids with handicaps to fend for themselves - Republican wants dirty air and water .......

Yes the list goes on and on and on.... Team Obama at your service along with a heavy dose of Chicago politics. Team Obama's motto "there is no level we won't stoop to". Barack is soooo likeable isn't he.
