The feds mandating to the states how to manage the state’s wildlife is a
recipe for disaster! I give you the feds wolf reintroduction program as a prime
More silly nonsense from environmentalists. The grouse is far from endangered.
It ranges throughout the west and Canada--how can that be endangered? The bird
is even widely hunted. Let's get real here, stop wasting tax dollars, time
and government resources on this silly, false issue.
I live in Sage Grouse habitat and I'm so sick and tired of my livelihood
being threatened by a stupid bird, that I am going to start shooting every one
of them that I see. The federal government needs to back off and start treating
humans as being more important than a bird. 99.9% of all species
that ever existed are now extinct. Just because the arrogant federal government
and the endangered species act are here now, doesn't mean they can stop all
species from becoming extinct. This is an effort by the federal government to
control every aspect of human activity, mark my words.
@mountainman the wolf reintroduction was an astounding success a
point that has created great bitterness from people like you that could provide
no credible evidence of their harm before and since their reintroduction.
Good grief... the federal government is giving some guidelines so that the bird
doesn't end up on the endangered species list, in cooperation with one of
the most western and conservative of all states, and you all still find fault in
it. It just proves that even when the two, state and federal, work hand in
hand, you still aren't happy.sorrytowakeyou - you are the very
reason why we have to have these silly rules. There is a huge difference
between natural extinction and man made extinction. Man almost over whaled the
planet, and it is only because someone stepped in and said stop that greedy
selfish men didn't wipe them out. And amazingly, without whale oil, we
still figured out better ways of gathering energy. The problem is
not that the government thinks people are more important than a bird, it is that
people think making easy money so they can pimp their 4x4 is more important than
future generations enjoying the same world we got to enjoy. It is called
selfishness.... who cares what our kids get to do... I got mine - mentality.
Phranc. Real biologists at game departments of Wyoming, Idaho and Montana all
disagree with you! The reason is we have to live with and feed the federal
government’s wolves and you don’t. That’s the difference!
@mountain man Again with the claims do you have anything other then the
one very biased sight your quoted last time to support our claims?
Utah's environmental motto: Multiply, multiply and pillage the earth.
@ Phranc. A wolf “expert’ living in Utah (or anywhere else) that has
never seen a wolf in the wild, has an opinion as useful as an entomologist that
never observed an insect! One biologist at the Idaho Fish and Game Dept,
frustrated with the continual decline of Idaho’s elk population to wolves
said, “ All we are doing in trying to protect our elk herds is feeding the
wolves”. I suppose he got into hot water for telling the truth but those
of us that have actually SEEN wolves in the wild and WITNESSED the destruction
they cause, know he is telling the truth. But you can go on believing whatever
@mountain man So then no you have nothing but you antidotal evidence to
support your claims. You will excuse me if I continue to base may thoughts and
arguments based on the science by the"experts" that actually go out into
the field and study the wolfs and their effects n the environment and not your
kitchen table hypothesis.
Mountain men didn't used to be afraid of wolves.“All we are
doing in trying to protect our elk herds is feeding the wolves”.So what you are really mad at, like sorrytowakeyou, is you think your in
competition with nature which you feel should be to your advantage because
of your divine destiny. Why do you guys want the feds to stick up for
"PEOPLE" who seem oblivious to their destructionof habitat and
