I am all for connecting the ski resorts - but ski-link is about real estate
development at the Canyons, NOT skiing.Dump ski-link and connect all
the resorts with actual ski-able terrain.

The author of this letter, David DuBois, is also the person who circulated a
ridiculous "Circle of Trust" memo requesting his far flung friends to
write editorials to newspapers saying things like "I live in Florida and
would go skiing in Utah if they had SkiLink." He is also the head of the
HOA of the community right at the base of the Canyons and stands to see his
property values rise if this tram is built. His arguments are completely self
serving. SkiLink would force the sale of 30 acres of pristine PUBLIC land to a
private real estate developer, Talisker. The lift would start in the midst of
an upscale, gated community and would cost over $100 per person, per day to use.

that live in Salt Lake County interpret our study results and let us make up our
mind if we want this tram in our county. The 58% number does not ask about
SkiLink in particular but about trams as a whole. One would assume that number
would go way down if told it would be built by selling public land to foreign
real estate developers. Also, the amount of cars if would take off the road is
a number no one knows. Since the way this lift is planned it will only benefit
a very few, it is reasonable to assume that number will be lower than the
