According to prognosticators, there will be numerous things that will begin
backfiring on Mitt Romney, et all, beginning next month. Stay tuned. There will
be even more wild and crazy things to discuss. Those with delicate medical
issues may chose to excuse themselves.
I listened to Paul Ryan yesterday and he said that everyone under age 54 would
be enrolled in a new program - not Medicare. Those 54 and older would stay with
Medicare. Ryan understands Obamacare and its 780 billion in Medicare Cuts better
than anyone currently in the Obama administration so if there is a big BACK FIRE
it is going to come from the team Obama bus once people understand that it is
Obama who is cutting Medicare - not Romney.
So President Obama has made cuts to entitlement spending, and Republicans are
opposed? What happened to all that concern over deficit reduction?
People, people, people...consider the source.Mr. Ricardo
Alonso-Zaldivar a guest writer for the Associated Press and is always a liberal
contributor. What else would you expect someone on Obama's side to say?
The article appears as a matter-of-fact column, but the undertones are all
liberal. Do not listen to such fuatter.
earth to st geo:your guy is in BIG trouble. more to come out on him in the
next 70 days......then back to party planning in chicago with his buddies.
@patriotDid you even read this article? Eh, forget it I'll just copy
the relevant part for you."Romney's running mate, Wisconsin
Rep. Paul Ryan, kept the Obama cuts in his budget, which envisions greater
savings by shifting future retirees into private insurance plans with a fixed
payment from the government to help cover their premiums."So
Ryan's plan, which Romney has endorsed, keeps the same Medicare reductions
as Obama since those were things related to inefficiencies and fraud issues
being cleaned up. Then Ryan goes one step further with his plan about private
insurance shopping with vouchers which will work just fine until you know,
someone gets sick with pre-existing conditions, but hey old people aren't
known for having medical issues right?
Perfect example of Republican economics..."The idea that
restoring funding to Medicare could somehow hasten its bankruptcy is on its face
absurd," said spokeswoman Andrea Saul."So the premise is
that by not cutting expenses, you can extend the life of the fund. How does
that work.... oh... wait... thats right. We can wage two wars, and not raise
revenue. Under the Republican plan you can expand benefits, and yet not pay
for them. So it makes sense..... you can increase spending - restore funding -
and at the same time - extend the life of the program.... all while lowering
taxes for everyone........ and then the money fairy comes and
sprinkles money on everyone... decrease spending... increase spending....
equals a balanced budget. Gotcha!
This article is just more spin to confuse people. The cuts were to be from
savings from fraud and lower payments to hospitals and Physicians. They are
then taken from the program and applied to costs in Obamacare in order to reduce
its costs. Of course, the first two years of cuts were not implemented because
it would make the payment from Medicare to hospitals and physicians
non-competitive causing even more care givers to refuse to give care to medicare
recipients. And, fraud was not as high anticipated. But, the administration,
Senate and the CBO continue to count the moneys that do not exist as paying for
costs of Obamacare. It is classic double talk and double use of money for the
purpose of misleading the electorate. Of course, the media just adds to the
confusion because it is incompetent any longer to do real investigative
reporting. Preferring to just accept as fact the talking points form the DNC or
@Atl134: Of course they read it, and then dismissed it! Who would want to
admit that the VP they are voting for has the same plan as Obama. So what to
do? Blast Obama and hope no one notices. Make things up and hope no one
notices. This is how campaigns are won and lost, by the way; who can make the
other person sound the worst.Case in point, from Romney, when
talking about Obama: "This means they could deny elderly Americans the care
they’ve worked for their entire lives -- all because President Obama
trusts bureaucrats more than he trusts seniors and their doctors,” he
(Romney) said."It could mean a lot of things, but this is a
scare tactic, plain and simple. Ah, Mitt, such a politician!
