The dude can flat out play.Maybe Bronco's dry spell in getting
players drafted is over.
This guy is a STUD and can flat out play. Serious props to him.
Absolutely a great player. He'll be playing at the next level soon.Wish him well getting over his shoulder injury. Hope he's 100%
coming into the Ute game.
I love this new motto: "BYU, on the Fast Track Toward Greatness".I will start printing the t-shirts.
OtisI wish I could say the same for the Utes but the consistent
recruiting dilemma with USC, Stanford and Oregon getting all of the 4 and 5 star
PAC recruits is mental hurdle for me.
@sammygDon't start throwing mud my friend. We got some Ute fans
giving Kyle Van Noy some love. There's no need to spoil it.
I'm hoping he sticks around for his Senior year. If he leaves, we will
lose six of the front seven on D. I'm more concerned about the D heading
into 2013, for our toughest schedule ever, than I am about breaking in a new QB.
Otis that is a lot better than 'Every day is game day". I would buy
your shirt right now Otis.
Stanford lost more talent in the most recent NFL draft than the sons of Provo
have had in 20 yrs.
Glad that Van Noy is recovering well from his shoulder injury. Any word on
whether Cody Hoffman has started practice yet? I'm concerned he is not
with the team yet.
I'm glad they start playing games in a few weeks so they can play it on the
field and hopefully get the Utes back in game three in another overtime
RE:Hank PymYou are either delusional, under 20 yrs old or are just
trying to get a rise out of BYU fans. I will take the bait. Gotta love Ute fans
who are now PAC12 fans. If USC wins it this year, The Utes will finally get a
National Championship. I love the Pac 12 window stickers. My favorite NFL team
is the AFC. Back to the Stanford Cardinal. BYU has had 29 players
drafted in the last 20 years Stanford had 4 players drafted last year. BYU has
15-18 guys in the league, including a WR that will catch many of Luck's
passes this year. That is 5 less than the mighty Cardinal. BYU also has had over
150 players total who have played in the NFL(including Max) and had close to 50
play in Super Bowls, including 2 as starting QBs. Oh ya look at all the BYU guys
(alumni & former assistants) who have coached in the NFL (Billick, Reid,
Holmgren). Keep in mind 1/4 of the PAC12 coaches are BYU grads.
Van Noy is a very good football player. Very fun to watch. Hope he fully
recovers from the shoulder injury and ultimately gets the chance to play in the
NFL. And here's hoping he's part of the 2% of NFL players
that make it past 3 years and then is part of the 30% of that 2% that makes it
to NFL retirement without being bankrupt, substance dependent, or divorced.
Sammy,I would be more worried about the Y's recruiting, than
the UTES against other Pac 12 teams. We can hold our own, it doesn't seem
like you can these days. As proven over the last decade or so. While you may
have had better recruiting classes earlier this decade, you no longer are in the
top 35. No players drafted to the NFL the last 2 years, and you have only beat 4
teams that ended the year .50 or better since 2009. Let us worry about our
recruiting, which is better than the TDS, and you worry about yours. UTE fans
were giving Kyle props, and liek you always do Sammy, you have to turn it into
something that isn't even being talked about.
Papa Smurf"you have only beat 4 teams that ended the year .50 or
better since 2009"Once again a Ute troll on a BYU article not
checking the facts before posting. BYU has wins over 8 teams that
ended the season with a winning record since 09. During that same period, the
Utes have 9. Wow, if not for the blocked kick in 2010, it would be 9 for BYU and
8 for Utah. Last year both teams had 2 wins over teams that ended with a winning
record. The Utes beat BYU and GT. BYU beat USU and Tulsa.
I have no idea why Jeff Call included passing stats like Riley Nelson going 8
for 8. They we're in helmets and shorts right? That is a little like
counting how many times someone hit the baseball in batting practice. I laughed
when he also listed a 48 yard pass to the rb as a highlight. Any 5 yard
completion can go for 48 when there is no tackling. I am not bashing BYU,
I just think keeping stats like this is extremely silly for any team not running
live plays in full pads. You might as well chart the stats on warm ups.
