It's a shame that people who want to continue to push to legalize abortion
seem to forget the fact that if their parents had aborted them they
wouldn't be here right now.
Abortion has been legal for almost 40 years now. I think that is settled. The
survey is interesting but vague. Most demographers agree that a public opinion
poll is most valid and accurate only when there are 1,500 or more "randomly
selected" survey participants. The margin of error at using 1,500 randoms
selections produces a 3% variance to the results. This survey reports that
there were only half that number taken giving us a 8-10% accuracy variable. The
report further confuses the outcome by not reporting if the survey was done
nation wide, or regionally. The survey does not address the variables such as
age of participant, income, education, and mixed race combinations.
Why are they tracking only these groups? Why not others?
If you don't agree with abortions don't have one. If that doesn't
make you sleep better at night, adopt the children of women who are considering
abortions w/no strings attached or support the children finacially until they
are 18. If you don't do the either of later two you come across as
hypocritical and judgemental. If there is an accountability of our actions in
the afterlife that's where the matter should be settled.
Abortion shouldn't be legal as all babies have a right to be born
@snowman;What you're saying is that ALL women be required to be
incubators whether or not they want to.What about the freedom of
these women? Should they be enslaved by the fetus' needs? And,
if all babies have the right to be born, does that mean that all babies have the
right to marry the person of their choice when they mature (apparently included
on the survey, didn't make top of list as an issue) or only the people you
approve of? Do they all deserve to receive medical care or should they simply
be allowed to suffer? What about poverty? Do they deserve to be raised in an
environment where they don't have to experience hunger or deprivation; or
must they be malnourished and homeless? Have you given this any
thought? What if you were required to carry a baby to term and you didn't
want to? What then?
RanchHand: No that is not what I am saying. I'm saying that if a woman
gets pregnant they should have the baby. All Babies deserve a chance at life.
Its not the babys fault that Mom gets pregnant when there are ways to prevent
it. I've given this plenty of thought and I do have children. If you
don't want the baby give it to someone who does.
Re: RanchHand Huntsville, UTAt the very least we should give pain
medication to the unborn, viable to reduce their suffering while they are being
