Another consistent strategy from the right.Bash ideas put forth
while offering NO alternative plans. So, Charles. What is your plan
for immigration?More importantly, what is the GOP plan for
immigration?This is Romney's conundrum also.He
speaks incessantly about "Obamas failed policies" while offering NOTHING
of substance on the important issues. It is much easier to talk about
cutting spending than to actually detail out WHAT would be cut. Right Mr
Ryan?It is much easier to talk about how bad the health care plan is
than to detail out what he would do. Right Mr Romney?Same with
immigration. The GOP has been content to do nothing about the 3
biggies above when they were in control. It is much easier to pick
holes in someone else's plan than to put forth one own to be subjected to
Joe, are you talking about offering a plan, like the Democrat controlled Senate
not proposing an annual budget for > 1160 days? I think I get it: proposing
something means you must think through a problem, find a solution, and be then
open to criticism.Truly, however, you've missed Charles' point:
Obama governs by Imperial edict.
Charles hits the mark again. Obama has gone beyond the law and uses his own
political radicalism and not the Constitution as his guide. A plan? His prime
motivation is to borrow and spend (buy) is way to re-election by subsidizing his
political base, not grow the economy with durable job creation. George Bush was
an amateur compared to this imperial president.
well Thunderbolt, there is a bit more to the issue than the typical GOP talking
point which you choose. And they all revolve around politics and
exercises in futility. But generally it boils down to this. The GOP proposes budgets with no compromises that they know will never
pass. The Dems dont bother to put up for a vote, budgets that will never
pass and force their members to vote on it (which will later be used against
them)So, no Budget? Yes, blame the senate, but there is blame on
both senate sides. But, the primary blame goes to those who would reject
10 to 1 spending cuts to tax increases. And now you know the rest of
the story.Funny how you seem to defend your side by suggesting that
the other side is worse.Personally, I think both the R and the D are
killing this country.I am guessing you would only agree with half of
that. And to 4601. I would favor getting corporate and
union money out of politics so that a politician cannot "buy" an
election. Citizens united ruling was a game changer in buying elections. What say you?
Obama has successfully outmaneuvered Republican opposition on many fronts.
Republicans have purposefully set out to paralyze our government and our economy
just to score political points. Yet, Obama outfoxes obstructionist Republicans
and and moves forward on things our country needs. Thank you, Mr. President.
You've risen to the challenge and persevered for what you believe. You
keep advancing your agenda in spite of people who want to see you fail.
So what's the repub situation?
So what's the repub solution?Tort reform? Free
market? Deregulation?Gag me. We've all seen what
free market and deregulation has done. For me, I'm through with
this whole free market nonsense and capitalist based health care system. Give me
a health care system that is based on keeping people healthy rather than making
some hospital president, insurance CEO, or doctor super rich.
@JoeBlow:"So, Charles. What is your plan for
immigration?"I would think his plan is that of most Americans...
enforce immigration laws, including e-verify. "More
importantly, what is the GOP plan for immigration?"More
importantly, what is the Democrats' plan? Don't answer. We know
already. Which is, don't do anything about illegal immigration at least
until after November's election. And maybe not even then."He speaks incessantly about "Obamas failed policies" while
offering NOTHING of substance on the important issues."Almost
anything is better than the Obama failed policies.
@UTAH Bill:"You (Mr. President) keep advancing your agenda in
spite of people who want to see you fail."Therein lies the
problem... your illustrious Mr. President has moved this country ever closer to
a socialist government where the government controls every aspect of our
lives.@The Real Maverick:"Give me a health care
system that is based on keeping people healthy rather than making some hospital
president, insurance CEO, or doctor super rich."Seeing the
recent advances in Obamacare, doctors are fleeing their profession and/or
getting out of government provided health care such as Medicare and Medicaid.
Soon doctors will only treat the wealthy who have the money to pay for services
rendered. Others will wait and wait and wait to see a doctor. And another
reality was recently expressed by Sarah Palin -Death Panels- will now become a
reality. If you are aged and need a knee replacement, sorry, go home and take
"More importantly, what is the Democrats' plan? ... Which is,
don't do anything about illegal immigration at least until after
November's election. Hmm, lets see. The GOP controlled the
Whitehouse, the house and the senate for 6 years.Tell me. What did
they do about immigration? What did they do about healthcare other than
pass a huge entitlement addition.Hope you were screaming as loudly
then.Maybe Romneys plan is better than Obamas. But, it
just might be nice to know what it is.I guess he is waiting for someone to
tell him what will get him the most votes.
"The Republican presidential campaign centers on the ineffectiveness of this
administration: failure at home, passivity abroad. A fine electoral strategy.
But as citizens we should be grateful. Given the administration's
extravagant ambitions, incompetence is its saving grace"....ouch - that body
shot connected... but not exactly true e.g. Cap and Trade failed in Congress but
no worries- the EPA can regulate carbon! Yay! We don't need legislative
bodies to represent the people when we have permanent bureaucracies to make
decisions for us. The new worry-free life in America is wonderful- until it all
ends of course.
