Just another aspect in the fight over who gets whose money. Sad really. Is
this what "god" would want?
Also it would mix Church and State which should not be mixed. If things like
this happened people would be sueing over Not Receiving callings that they
thought they deserved. I still have Not gotton over Not being called to be
Gospel Doctrines Teacher. But I am not going to sue over it, it would mix Church
and State and be silly and casting pearls before swine. Neather am I going to
say a better choice was made because it wasen't. What I am going to do and
have been doing is attend and take an active part in the class. Whatever your
grip keep it in the house and among those who need to know.I am also
thinking of starting my own Facebook Sunday School Class using the current
lesson of the week. The Court is right in this case and the
contention would be mind blowing.
awsomeron: I guess you miss the point that a calling doesn't come from the
Bishop or Branch President. They don't just select someone because they
are better or not. You've sustained the individual called by the LORD to
conduct the class. Years ago I felt like you did when I was called
to a calling then when I finally understood it wasn't a man doing the
calling but the Lord then it was time for me to get on my knees and repent.
Someone once taught that if you haven't caught the vision of the Lord doing
the calling you need to get on your knees and pray until you do understand. I
feel that is what you need to do. All you are doing is causing a gap and
frustrating those who have been called to preside over you. That is the first
step to apostasy.
"You've sustained the individual called by the LORD to conduct the
class. "And how exactly does that work? Or, is it that if
someone is "called" the decision making process was overseen from
above. If I was establishing a religion, that would be a key piece.
Then I could say with impunity"hey, I didn't make that
decision, it was the Lord."Pretty hard to argue against him or
her. Very predictable.
