I think Jim McMahon might be a more relevant interview on this matter than Steve
Young, and neither are as relevant as a good statistical study.
I have always liked Young. He is a quality person and one of the toughest
players in the history of the NFL...........Brett Favre was the toughest, most
resilient player ever, as I see it.
Concussions aren't the problem. Helmet-on-helmet head banging, causing
disruptions of brain linkages, are the life-ruining effects.
@Rational - "I think Jim McMahon might be a more relevant interview"
Jimmy Mac does not like to interview with any media and that is who he is. I do
believe Jimmy deserve an interview but he preferred to stay away. So Steve Young
was a best choice.
take away the helmets and padding and you will have less head injuries. Then
again if you did that and change some of the rules of the game, you might call
it Rugby!!!! When someone wears all of that protection gear, they think that
they are invicible. When they don't they take more care.
@ Pete 1215: Isn't "helmet-on-helmet head banging, causing
disruptions of brain linkages" the very definition of a concussion?
