The UN's record in preventing mass murder is not good. Their failures in Rwanda, Darfur, Central Africa, Southern Sudan and other small nations are self evident. Genocide in Bosnia was ended by NATO (mainly the US) and not the UN. A "UN peace keeping force" is meaningless. The future does not bode well for Syrian peace and justice.
