This news article is assuming a whole lot. Let me point out that: 1)Dr. Paul
is still in the race and 2)We don't truly know how many delegates Romney
actually has until the voting begins in Tampa. ;) But, I know the MSM really
wants to anoint Romney ASAP. After all, the man will definitely lose to Obama.
Just remember: If you actually want a choice in this next election - between
liberty or tyranny - Ron Paul is your man.
Have to agree with this man.
Maybe he figures he's got the thing locked up. Now he can bring the circus
to town, starting with trump.
I am all for liberty, but Paul's message is isolationist; that is, you can
only have liberty if you are isolated from everyone else. Living in a community
means some of your liberty has to be sacrificed for the liberty of others. It
is give and take. Your rights end at my nose and my rights end at your nose, so
to speak. It would be impossible for everyone to have unlimited liberty unless
we were all hermits (even then it is still not possible).
Who cares if Romney is to claim the GOP nomination, that puts the cart before
the horse, it's not up to him, it's up to the RNC in Tampa Florida.Mitt + The Donald = VegasA veritable royal flush of
Republicans will be in Las Vegas on Tuesday when presumptive presidential
nominee Mitt Romney journeys to Nevada for a pair of private events, one at a
local furniture manufacturer, the second at Donald Trump's opulent
International Hotel and Tower for a fundraiser where tickets will fetch $2,500
to $10,000. Gleeful journalists pined for news that Mr. Romney would distance
himself fromMr. Trump after the real estate kingpin recently reignited the
birther issue surrounding President Obama's origins.
@John2000Ron Paul's message is not isolationist in any sense of
the word. He supports true free trade between nations and dialogue with all.
It is not he who is in favor of trade embargoes or sanctions. If he had his
way, for instance, we'd open up relations with Cuba instead of continuing
to fight the Cold War. I disagree that liberty can only be achieved by
hermits. In fact, I think that the more free a people are allowed to be, the
more they can engage each other in communities and voluntary associations of all
kinds. Would you say that government is the only reason people talk to each or
work together? I'd contend its the other way around. People working
together and communicating in open dialog build societies which then decide
which form of government they will choose. Liberty is not ignoring those around
us. It is respecting their God-given rights to pursue their own course for
their life and expecting that they respect ours. Liberty doesn't stifle
dialog and communication. It encourages and improves it.
@Rapunzel, it's absolutely true that even if Mitt sweeps Texas, he *still*
doesn't have the 1144 votes he needs. He's likely to get them
eventually (possibly by the time Utah adds in their 40 as the last state on June
26th), but it's unfortunate the way the system has been gamed from the
beginning with none of the mainstream news outlets being willing to post
*actual* delegate counts as opposed to allegedly *probable* delegate counts.
I'd put as much blame on our impatient media cycle as on lazy journalists,
though.@John20000, it doesn't sound like you've read or
heard much actual Paul rhetoric. *Of course* modern society and governance is
'give and take' -- Paul says so as often as the next reasonable guy.
He simply reminds us that modern society and governance doesn't need to
'throw out the baby with the bath water' as it were. We can keep the
'Bill of Rights', the Golden Rule, and other important principles and
still accomplish that give and take. It's worth giving him an
actual listen. I'm grateful for his message.
Rapunzelthebrave," After all, the man will definitely lose to
Obama."Romney is set for life and will always be a man with
greater integrity. It's America that will lose. Not Mitt.
Congrats to Mitt for outlasting a field of second raters and Fox News wannabes.
He also has my sympathy for tying himself closer to Trump, who must be the
biggest ego on the planet.
Choosing between Romney and Obama is like choosing between eating cyanide and
battery acid. Not much difference between them . Both are deadly to the body.
Romney and Obama are deadly to this repoublic.
WorfHow is Romney honest when he flip flops on on every position he
ever held? Get past his campaign rhetoric and look at his track record before
you throw your vote away on an unconcsitutional candidate like him or Obama.
Paul was never relevant. His fans are short-sighted and largely uneducated. Even
if Paul's lunatic minions hijacked the RNC, do you ever think he could win
the Presidency? They have such magical thinking! Idealists are either
irrelevant or dangerous.
There is a JOKE that says that both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney could both use
the same bumper sticker slogan. That slogan is:"I am not Mitt
Maybe he will feel safe enough after tonight to disavow Donald Trump.
to all you obama groupies:providing reading is something you do, try
reading the Amateur that is just out. Some great insight on your president.he'll be back to community organizing soon.
@Mukkake,"His fans are short-sighted and largely uneducated"
- Funny granted his main support from educational institutes and our active
military.I'm not gonna say our men on the front lines are
college grads but .... to say they're uneducated is rather demeaning.
Anti Bush-Obama-Romney:Not saying Mitt is perfect, and there's
a lot he could improve on with holding on to the Constitution. Getting
government out of education is one of many.To say Mitt and Barack
are the same is a stretch. We can survive another four years with Mitt, but not
[Funny granted his main support from educational institutes and our active

students who are not yet educated. And active military on the front lines are
usually are uneducated. The smart ones do their time, quit, and go to college on
the GI Bill to become educated.
