@binghamalumSo did Bingham "beat themselves" or did they
just get worked by a better team?
Alta hit the ball hard all night and just when it felt like Bingham was going to
get back into it Alta turned a double play and then their sophomore catcher
threw a runner out trying to steal second with an amazing throw. Bingham
isn't out of it by any means, but Alta sure has been hitting the ball hard
and was definitely the better team last night. Tilby looked good on the mound
and Kallas owned the Miner pitching.
I thought Bingham was by far the best team in the state.......ha ha
@Duckhunter... Bingham didnt beat themselves they were just overpowered by a
better team being Alta. They out pitched, out hit, and out coached bingham.
Bingham looked passed Alta and they paid the price for it. Bingham is a great
team and they are by no means out of the tournament. They'll bounce back
Hey Southpride 56, this is big boy baseball. In 5A there are several good teams
as evident by last place Lehi beating Snow Canyon....ha ha
@BambimanI saw it, I was just mocking binghamalum who has been on
here for the last few months declaring Bingham to be the indisputed best team in
the state and proclaimed that the only way Bingham could ever lose would be if
they "beat themselves". I know Alta has been playing extremely well
lately. I still think American Fork is the team to beat, they have the best
I have to admit HSFAN that was a good point. Anytime someone from a 3A school
wants to chime in about Bingham losing it's kind of funny since the Bingham
JV in any sport would beat the varsity of any 3A team.
plyxply- Full disclosure, I am not a Bingham fan at all and if they lose, I
could not care less. I have just followed these comment boards for several years
and find it funny how clowns like the guy in Manti a few years back claiming the
mighty templars could smoke Timpview, Alta and Bingham in football, or the
Hurricane and JD fans claiming they were better than LP this last year.
Laughable. ATT Washington County insecure fans, Honestly I thought
Snow Canyon got ripped when they took away the 4 wins. I pulled for you last
year in the championship v. SF. I pulled for SC hard this year and even told a
few friends how much I hoped that somehow they could get into the playoffs and
win the tourney. Frankly, I think JD got the short end having to play first
round v the best team. They had to go all the way through the losers bracket and
almost pulled it off. Who knows, maybe they could have saved some pitching by
being in the winners bracket longer and could have had enough to beat SC. Still
glad for those kids and thought it was awesome.
Hey Factcheck and Bench, you guys were asking if I had seen Bingham play in the
comments on the other article. I also said that Bingham would take 4th in a
statewide playoff with all divisions and a bunch of guys tore me to pieces over
it. Well, guess what? the mighty Bingham has fallen! Not only are they not going
to take 4th in all divisions, they aren't taking 4th in 5A. I'll take
your letters of apology now. Thank you! I love it when people count their titles
before playing the game.
Plyxply- Any sport? OK, I'll bet anything you want that Binghams jv team
would get worked by Delta, Uintah, Payson, Wasatch, Hurricane, and maybe 5 other
varsity 3A wrestling teams. Actually, I'm going to go out on a limb and
reverse it, and say that the first 4 I mentioned would beat the Bingham varsity
with their JV squads. I'm also very confident that the Bear River and
Spanish Fork varsity softball squads could handle the JV as well. I hate soccer,
but maybe Dixie, Wasatch and JD could come through. But why does it matter?
@plyxply @HSFAN maybe Bingham's JV should have played this tourney sounds
like they would have done better!
Ain't it funny how the big 5A fans squak about their teams ruling the
world. I'll give you the depth in football. It's tough to beat a team
that has 300 kids tryout and when a starter goes down the second teamer
doesn't miss a beat. 5A v 3A football is a mismatch. Having said that, as a
betting man I'd wager the top three 3A baseball teams would dominate the 5A
tourney. But then again, I could be wrong. (But you know I'm not)
Who lost to Syracuse, Riverton, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, got mercied by
Alta and lost to Taylorsville this season? "Com mon" folks, give us
some commentary... y'all had plenty ta say b'fore the 22nd.
Where'd y'all run off to? :)
