Can I be the first to comment good luck CJ. I dont know what the Jazz
organization ever saw in you for your entire duration here??? You sometimes
showed you belonged other times you were so inconsistent you deserved to be put
in the D league. Nothing surprises me though, we we kept Stevenson for almost as
long. Least Stevenson wanted to show he was legit. This will free up some money
to go after a better shooting guard.
Miles has some skills but he lacks the complete game. If he played within
himself he could be an asset but that rarely happened. Whether it was Miles or
the Jazz trying to have him do what he wasn't capable is sometimes unclear.
Raja bell played within himself but the Jazz could not define a role
for him on a young team trying to find out who they are/where. I
think the Jazz would be better off without Miles and Bell myself. Trade value
has diminished for both. Miles is a unrestricted free agent who the Jazz should
part with. Bell has a year left. it could be tricky figuring out what to do
I hope CJ finds a place where he can develop his game - if not here then
elsewhere. The Jazz would be crazy not to exercise their option on
DeMare Carol. He certainly made the most of his minutes. I would
love to see "Pogo Stick" back as well. There's got to be a place
on this team for someone like that!
Miles can be picked up by some team in the East or Portland. He doesn't fit
with Corbin and the Jazz
CJ Miles...is in the Dallas Radar...and he might do damage there...since the
coaching staff is way better than the one we have...i hope...the management is
committed to winning a championship...but right now...we are medicore at
best...that being said...im still a huge fan...and i'll keep dreaming that
one day...during this lifetime..i get to see the Jazz win a championship
I think most fans are eager to say goodbye to Miles.. KOC already picked up
Carroll option for next year.
And in other news: Utah Jazz fans everywhere eager for C.J. Miles to explore
options as unrestricted free agent.
Goodbye CJ ...Goodbye Raja ... I hope they can deal you to someone
else.Keep -CarrollEvansTinsleyAhearnAnd Howard, if he can be signed for a reasonable price.
I think Jazz are better off without Miles.Inconsestant at best, Poor defender,
Missed alot of shots at the end of games. I think CJ was out for CJ. Jazz can
use the money to sign a better player!
Steve Nash is a free agent isn't he? Bring him in!
I like CJ... when he plays aggressively and passes and drives to the basket.
Trouble when he decides to take it easy, lob bombs, and not defend- which is most
of the time. He should be a great rebounder with his athletic skills, but he
has not been eager to venture into the paint.Bottom line, I think
Hayward and Burks are/will be better all around players at the 2-3, especially
on defense, which makes CJ expendable for the price. Im still undecided about
Howard, would like to see the Jazz groom Evans for the 3 more.
CJ is a great kid who developed as a player for the Jazz, but simply never
developed into a consistent contributor. There are worse crimes in this world.
Good luck to him and if he ends up sticking with the Jazz, I hope he finally
finds his groove on a night to night basis. He is a fun player to watch when
things are clicking once every three games.
CJ should have been gone 4 years ago. What a waste of money by the Jazz. Bell
was a cancer in the clubhouse and needs to pack his bags. I still think the Jazz
should make every effort to get the Jimmer. He would fit in much better with the
Jazz then Sac. Corbin could also spend some time over the summer working on his
matchups because he was very much outcoached by Popovich. Overall an
entertaining season but this group needs help to go to the next level.
Remember Jaron Collins? He's a player we kept WAY too long and so is CJ
Miles. We need to have a team of consistent players who can contribute at any
given time, not once in a blue moon.On the radio CJ made excuse
after excuse for his inconsistencies and poor three point shooting. No more
excuses and no more CJ Miles!
With Burks and Hayward wiating for time on the wings I believe Miles and
Bell's time with the Jazz is limited. The Jazz need to keep Carroll and
even sign him to an extension when possible. He knows how to contribute and get
in with the bigs and rebound. He'll be great coming off the bench, and
possibly starting. Burks needs more minutes but I love his athletisism and
energy. He is a more solid defender than Miles ever was and will only get
better where Miles may have reached his potential. I hope the differeance in
Hayward's rookie an sophmore year will be the differance in his 2nd and 3rd
year as well. If so he should become the next Hornacek with solid shooting and
passing skills. Get a better point and the Jazz should be 2nd round playoff
material next year.
CJ has worked hard for the Jazz. He has shown some promise--enough promise that
we matched the offer he got from the Thunder a few years back. But
the bottom line is that CJ has peaked. His field goal and free throw shooting
percentages have been decreasing ever since we matched that offer. He
doesn't have the skillset to make the rest of the team better. His passing
is not so great for his position. There is a chance that CJ can still
improve somewhere, and average 15 points per game, but I'm willing to see
another team take that chance for $4mil+ per year. Thank you, CJ, and good
Well, lets see.His shooting % is getting worse. He still
won't stop taking bad shots after 6 seasons in the NBA.He plays
weak defense. He still fancies himself a pure 43 point shooter
despite the fact he is not even league average.Goodbye CJ. You will be great for teams that have no discipline and welcome lousy
shot selection and little defense.6 seasons wasted. Wow.
There's got be someone who needs a 30% shooter, hopefully the Jazz are
smart enough to let him leave. Of course they weren't smart enough to let
him go the last time so we'll see what they do this time.
CJ's a waste of salary. Let's put those dollars towards someone
who's consistent and contributes!
I regard Miles as one of the premier shooting guards in the country. I value his
membership on the Jazz.
I can't blame the Jazz for resigning CJ. He did look promising at one
point. I thought maybe with all the coaching and good players he could turn it
around. Some days he showed up and others it looks like he was lost. He did help
us win some games when he was on fire. Maybe he can find some how to get his
