Agreed.Glad the Seattle Times mentioned the withdrawl and immediate
demise of South Vietnam. And the sooner we un-do eveything Bush did,
The U.S. created another mess by intervening in a country on the other side of
the world. Rather than think things through, including a more tactical approach
such as the one Biden proposed years ago, the neo-con Bushies invaded with no
plan or strategy. They should have thought more about the mess the U.S. created
in Iran in the early 1950s when we overthrew a democratically elected government
and for which we are paying dearly 60 years later.
We never leave anywhere, ever. Why are we still in Germany?
In other news....Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, after
falsely taking credit for saving the entire American Automobile Industry, says
taking military intervention into the sovereign nation of Iran is a very real
option if he were elected to be President - stating that Iranian oil deposits
are just likely to insight terrorism against America as Iraqi oil was.
Re: "And the sooner we un-do eveything Bush did, the better."You mean, things like keeping us safe after 9/11?What actually
needs undoing is everything Obama has done since his election. And,
we can't wait 'til President Romney gets started on it.
How to fix Afganistan1) Bring significant amounts of their children
here to be raised and educated. When they are of age send them back with the
mission to uplift their degenerate culture.2) See to it that every
Afgan has access to satellite television and the internet and give them
programming that will lift them out of their degenerate culture. Something
similar was done with this country. We were seemingly in an inexcapable well of
racism. Due to imersion of Americans in a different culture (television) we were
lifted out of that well. There is no reason why we can't do the same there.
