In the first half the Jazz were plus t with Favors on the court and minus 32
with Favors on the bench. Nice coaching Corbin. Play Favors!
I totally agree with Bano. Play Favors and Burks more Corbin! Please! The lack of energy or effort is what is the most disturbing thing to me. The
Spurs play like a team - unselfish, effort, hustle, intensity and style. In
fact, if it wasn't happening to my beloved Jazz, I might even enjoy
watching them.Problem is, the Spurs tanked the season just prior to
drafting Timmy and it was obviously worth it now. I just wish the Jazz could
get an even shot.
The Spurs and Popovich have taken the Jazz philosophy and improved it. They are
deeper, better coached and more experienced than the Jazz. Hopefully, the brain
trust will see where they need to improve and build toward that.
Game one loss didn't convince Corbin to start Favors. Maybe game two loss
will change his mind for game three. The Spurs scored at will in the paint when
Favors wasn't in.
The Jazz currently have 23 million dollars plus wrapped up in Al Jefferson and
Devin Harris and neither one of them had done squat in this series.Back to back games your two big money guys have layed eggs when it matters
most. These guys do not have what it takes at all. Jefferson stalls
the offense and that is never going to change.Devin Harris has
played better, up until the playoffs, but now is AWOL. Neither of these guys
fit the Jazz system and do absolutely NOTHING to improve the players around them
and that is their biggest flaw.Harris either plays good individually
or he contributes nothing. Same thing with Jefferson...if he plays good then
amen but if he doesn't he stops the flow and drags the team down with
him.O'conner needs to trade one or both of these guys and make
a move with that trade exception and do something to improve the future of this
team. It is clear that the current cast of veterans is completely incapable of
competing with anyone that matters. They are not even close to allstars and you
don't win in this league without one.
