Jazz extend win streak to six by pasting the Nuggets
I guess I have to say that Devin Harris has proved me wrong on how much I
disliked him. I also think it is nice to not see Bell and I do not think he fits
in well with this system. Ty should be in the running for Coach of the Year. I also would like to know why there was so much hype about the Timber
Wolves and PHX, but no talk on how the Jazz have destroyed opponents. The Jazz
have shut down every one defensively and yet it is considered to be nothing??
What is wrong with the NBA?
Best call of the night - Bell 0 Mins Tinlsey is getting mins even though
Watson is backFavors & Burks getting more minsStaring line up of
Harris, Hayward, CJ, Sap & Al is working
That was the best game I have seen them play in years! This team has so many
good players, I can't pick a favorite. Hey, where is
PortlandTrailblazer fan now? Hmmm, I think he is reading the articles, but has
nothing to mock. If my team drafted Oden and Bowie instead of Durant and
Jordan, I would never utter a negative word about another team.
Harris has proved alot of us wrong. CJ has proved us wrong and has become an
unselfish team player. He is out there playing some great defense as well. Big
Al has even been seen playing a little defense and is passing the ball to his
teammates. Gordon Hayward is showing some skill and toughness. The kids a
baller. We were right about Burks, Favors and Tinsley though. Go Jazz
I just wish Harris would've played like this earlier in the season!Hayward was all over the Nuggets and is becoming more and more
consistent.Favors and Burks continue to impress. Both are future
anchors on this team.I think it is safe to say Tinsley has earned
the backup slot behind Harris.Big Al continues to score and I hope
he has enough left in the tank to continue on aplayoff push.
I agree with several of the comments here, especially B Russ and md. We're
seeing how good this group of young players can be. It's the most talented
Jazz team that I've ever seen here. Hopefully the Jazz can keep this up
and qualify for the playoffs. Also, hopefully, Golden State will continue to
lose, but stay out of the bottom seven teams in the lottery, so the Jazz can
keep Golden State's draft pick.Go Jazz!!
I also want to say up front that I am so glad I was mostly wrong about Harris.
Let's hope his jump shot keeps going in at a decent percentage. He still
needs to work on making some of his passes a little more crisp, but he has sure
been fun to watch recently...and that dunk was awesome. Great, unselfish team
play with good passing and high percentage smooth shooting all around. Birthday
boy Hayward (now 22) had great game and I think this was the best Jazz game I
have seen in years. Up and coming Denver duo McGee and Faried will be fun to
watch in years to come against Kanter and Favors. Good to see coach Karl on
Denver bench looking fairly healthy.
You know your defense is getting better when players start throwing elbows at
you. Love it! Keep up that harassing style of defense!Harris is
beginning to win me over. Still would like a Stockton-type PG, but this team can
win with Harris doing his thing. He seems to be getting back to how he played
years ago.Lovin' Tinsley. No shortage of backup PG on this team
There were also some steals which on another less spectacular night would be
highlighted here. I really liked Paul Milsap who sometimes thinks he's a
guard rather than a power forward. Its nice have a "big" that can shoot
from outside and is quick enough to swipe the ball from the opponent. By the
way, it also looks like Gordon Hayward is turning into Matt Harpring. He
couldn't be nicer on the court but he's a tough physical player.
Afflalo knocked him to the floor and the previous play, and Gordon was back at
him the next time down the court. That's when Afflalo couldn't take it
anymore and gave him a forearm to the face. That will get you tossed out every
time.Nice work guys.
Affalo gets one game for that? Did I hear that right? That should be at least a
ten game suspension. And you guys are right, what a game. I disagree with the
slander on Bell. He was a stand up guy for coming to Utah and not taking the
Kobe plane ride. He might not be a starter anymore, but he is a tough player,
and if you guys are wondering where the Jazz grit comes from, it isn't
Corbin. Bell and Watson are the tough guys on the court. When Cousins comes to
town, one of our big's needs to bang on him hard. Going after a point guard
is pretty amusing for a guy his size. His unhappy sour disposition already cost
him a team suspension, maybe that should include random drug testing.
