Shocking. /sarcasm off
I'm in shock as well. Sap, AJ--just keep working your tail off,
because we're not interested in improving our team and getting you some help.
We're pleased to make just under 40% of our shots from the 1, 2, and 3 spots.
Yeah, we'll stand pat.The Blazers and Rockets--sure, they just made
themselves better and stronger. But we're happy keeping Miles, Bell, and
Howard, and playing them many minutes now, because it is obvously working so
well. We've clinched the 11th seed in the Western Conference playoffs. We're
going to lose Miles and Howard this offseason, so we have to play them now.
Bell is only here one more year, so we have to play him now. Our young
guys--well, we'll develop them someday. We're trying to put the best
team on the floor every night. That's why we're not trading anyone! We're
doing what we need to for our future--thats why we're not developing our youth
as we could! We don't want to take any chances and lose the 11th seed that
these seasoned veterans are earning for us.
It is amazing to me but I called it. I have called it for years with our GM.
There is always an excuse why a deal or move to get better, or even to dump
veterans is not done. LA did get better. SO did Houston. Denver landed McGee
who would have been good for our team, then Nick Young will be huge for the
Clippers. The Jazz I have said it are afraid to do anything. Largely because
they are scared the fans will not support it, and stop going to games and or
purchase merchandise. Even letting Raja go would have given Burks some minutes
more. AGain Corbin, going with veterans and also CJ who has been nothing but a
flop frankly for 7 years. So the Jazz stay "Fun and Competitive" and
again get passed by with squads that actually want to win.
Of course there was no trade. There is still no commitment to have a
Professional Basketball Team in Utah. Once Miller has a commitment to put a
Professional Basketball team in Utah, he will change is focus from his own
wallet, to getting real players and real coaches.I won't hold my breath.
Fans deserve better than what ownership is giving out. Disgusting!!!
you know...KOC has a point...i mean...just 20 games left...the team wont make
the playoffs anyway...so why not make the play for trades during the
off-season...i will be looking at how they will extend the contracts of Burks,
Favors, Hayward, Kanter and Evans...if Koc dont lock them up long term...we
could kiss our future good bye...i think we need to unpack the veterans...except
for Earl Watson, Jamal Tinsley and Josh Howard...i think they are good solid
backups for their position...the rest can be traded...we need a big that would
flourish as a reserve...and we need a coach who is good in developing young
players...the jazz should have contacted adelman for the job...
I love how you guys are acting outraged about this and how KOC is a fool for not
doing anything. Has it ever occurred to any of you computer coaches that the
Jazz organization tried to make something happen but there wasnt any trades that
could actually have improved us?? Did it even occur to you guys that there could
be some plans for the off season? Stop acting like you guys know what actually
goes on with the organization and as I am so fond of saying now, if you dont
like the product anymore STOP watching. no one is forcing you to watch the team
Teams only wanted our young guys or our draft picks. Not giving those up and
