If this is the only thing that will save the country, it doesn't deserve to be
saved. The very idea that such pseudo-patriotism should overcome the damage done
by our legislative and executive office holders is nothing short of frightening.
Take into account that the pledge was the idea of a defrocked socialistic cleric
who imagined a one-world government one day with America leading the way, and
then you begin to see just how misguided the pledge and the mandatory recitation
of it is. This needs to be vetoed.

This legislation is political grandstanding and is abhorrent.Do not

This looks like an example of treating a symptom rather than the real
problem(s). Kids not reciting the pledge at school or feeling unpatriotic are
only symptoms of deeper, harder-to-solve problems like apathy and ingratitude.
Forced patriotism also sounds a lot more like the oppressive tyranny that leads
